The White Dragon, that was my quirk. It was a true shock for my family because they only had weak fire quirks. They never believed I would be born with wings and the ability to control fire and light. It was a shock to everyone involved in my life. My destiny was to be someone powerful. At least, that's what everyone thought.

I did the recommendation exam and I was fourth overall and accepted. I was about to enroll when my parents called me saying they used up all my money for school because of the restaurant they owned. That's when my dreams shattered and I had to refuse my acceptance to the best school in the country. It took me a long time to accept that I wasn't going to be a hero.

So I settled to go to the local high school in my city, which happened to be in the same city as U.A. It was taunting me of my regrets of what could've been. Now, my game plan is to finish off regular high school and then go to the police academy on a scholarship. I wanted to do something that helped people, even if hero wasn't my official title.

It was a Monday, it was my first day back to school for the second semester of my first year. I was glad to go back. During my breaks from school, I would work day and night with my parents at the restaurant. Cooking by morning, waiting at night. I barely got enough sleep because I would always be the one to close.

I was glad it was all over and I could go back to learning and be distracted on aiming to be the number one in my class. I needed to go to the police academy on a scholarship, I had no other choice.

"Ryoko! On your way back home from work can you cover a shift? One of our waitresses called in sick." My mother yelled from the restaurant downstairs.

Our house was upstairs from the restaurant, so it wasn't hard to hear her voice from my room. I was quickly putting my bag all together for school, excited to leave this greasy place.

"Will do mother." I replied as I hurried downstairs.

With my wings, I am able to put them back in my body. Mainly, my body heals them if I got a scratch or something, but if I felt threatened, my wings come out automatically. Especially when I wear my school uniforms, I try not to use my wings. They cost too much money to replace.

I kissed both my parents who were cooking quickly to get ready for lunch and made my way to school.

I casually walked down the streets of my city, people were walking around more cautiously than usual. People were afraid, ever since All Might took his retirement, people have been more scared for their well being because nobody really trusted Endeavor with their safety. It was a scary time for everyone in Japan.

I was halfway to my school when I heard a scream. My instincts made me run towards the commotion. There was a villain terrorizing people with little black cloned minions of himself. He looked like he's able to clone himself with the help of darkness, because they made sure to stay in the shaded area of town. People were getting robbed of their belongings and getting hurt at the same time. People were shoving their way past me as I just standing there.

Move! I yelled at myself in my head. That's when I jumped in the air and took out my dragon. My wings shredded the back of my uniform, which were white and sharp, and my claws came out ruining my shoes. I'm definitely going to have to work extra hours to pay for new ones.

I flew down and started to use my beam of light to take down one by one his cloned minions. People cheered as I flew down and took care of them. Once I beamed light at them, they vanished like dust. I was making my way towards the villain, he looked scared, knowing I was able to control light. He ran darker into the alley way he came from, and I flew after him.

I heard people cheering in the back with admiration, it motivated me to keep going.

"Now you're at a disadvantage little girl. There's no more light." The villain said as he grew and grew and grew from the shadows.
