Chapter 6: Confusion

The next day, I made sure to keep my distance from Bakugo. Every time we made eye contact, I had to move my eyes away before I could blush more. It was just so confusing my feelings. I don't know if I liked him, or if I hated him. All I know, is that I liked it when he kissed me last night.

"Hey, Tanaka-chan. You seem off, is everything all right?" Asks Ochaco-chan.

I realized I was looking out in the distance before Ochaco brought me back to reality, "Oh yeah, just tired from the extra course last night. I'll get through it though." I lie.

"Are you sure? Ribbit. Does is have anything to do with Bakugo?" Asks Tsu-chan.

All the girls forgot their lunch and stared at me with curiosity.

"I'll tell you later okay? In my room after my evening course." I whisper to the girls before I left them to head to class.

At heroics, we were doing some one-on-one battling with someone in the class. There will always be two battles happening at once, watched over by All Might and Aizawa sensei.

"Alright! I will pick out the names of the two people." Says Aizawa before he started to pick names from a hat, because we had an uneven number, the lonely solider will go against the person of their pick.

After he picked everyone in teams, I was the lone soldier who got to choose their opponent. This was going to be fun.

I evaluated everyone's fight, do I want a challenge, or an easy fight? A good challenge would be Todoroki, but I know I would lose right away. Then there was Tokoyami who would be extremely easy to beat because of his weakness. Bakugo is out of the question, I do not want to be near him at all. Midoriya looked somewhat hurt after his fight so it would be useless. Then I made up my mind.

As everyone had finished their fight, I was able to pick who I wanted.

"Tokoyami." I say smirking at my childhood friend.

He only laughed as he entered the ring with me. I could feel Bakugo's intense glaring, but I shoved it away and focused on Tokoyami.

"Is your dark shadow ready?" I taunt as I got myself in a starting position.

"As ready as it will ever be with your light." He taunts back smiling.

"How about this, I won't use my light for the first half." I smirk.

"If you make it that long." He jokes.

I couldn't help but laugh, "Try me."

Then the bell rang.

I took out my wings and flew in the air and created a fire circle around him to make our arena smaller. He was horrible with close combat. It would be perfect. When I came back to the ring, he sent his dark shadow quickly at me. I blew fire at it and it wailed from the pain of the light.

I could hear Tokoyami shouting at Dark Shadow to focus and stop being afraid and trying to control it. He was the same since elementary school, nothing has changed except a growth spurt.

Then I flew towards him, my claws extended.

"Dark Shadow!" He yelled, and the shadow came towards me. So I sent it a beam of light, which made himself shrink and stop and I got a punch on Tokoyami and he fell.

"End! The winner is Young Tanaka!" Yells All Might.

I helped Tokoyami up from being slammed on his ass.

"You're not fair, you knew you would win." He complained.

"Exactly, now people know who they are messing with." I say before looking at my class mates who all looked shocked.
