Unknown POV

I slowly lowered myself onto the bench, my knuckles turning white at how hard I gripped my walking stick, it's getting more difficult to walk for long periods of time in my old age. I set my bag down beside me and look over at the supermarket that only a few meters away, I just need to catch my breath.

I watch people walk past me, some chatting away animatedly on the phone and others in groups strolling past. Suddenly, a figure catches my eye... a tall man dressed in all black with a black cap on his head and a black face mask, I can't even see his eyes. But I don't need to, I already know who he is... I don't know which one, but I know he is one of them.

I gulp nervously, my eyes darting around to the passers by, no one appears to have spotted him, apart from me.

'Are you okay?' a feminine voice makes me jump. I look beside me to see a young beautiful brunette woman, I stare at her for a second before looking back at the figure that I just saw, but he's gone. The brunette beside me speaks again, 'You look rather tired sitting here, do you need some help going somewhere?'

'I was just on my way to the supermarket, I'm running low on a few essentials' I offer her a small smile.

She stands up, taking me by the arm gently and helping me stand up too, 'I will go with you'

'No no, I'm alright' I wave my hand in assurance but she just shakes her head.

'No please, I was also on my way there and I want to help you' she insists and I give in, allowing her to walk with me to the supermarket, making light conversation.

Once inside, she grabs a shopping cart and we both walk slowly down the aisles, both picking up things that we need and putting them into the cart, I smile fondly at how kind hearted this young woman is, 'Thank you for accompanying me, I've always wanted a daughter' I smile softly at her.

She smiles back, 'Really? Do you have any children?'

'I have one son' I tell her, briefly looking away... that's what I tell everyone but it's not true.

'Really? Do you still speak with him?' she grabs a couple more things from the shelf and puts them into the cart.

I shake my head, 'No, he is a grown man now, he moved out when he was twenty to pursue his dreams and I haven't seen him since... but I have a rough idea of where he is'

'Does he still live here in East-Hollow or did he leave town?' she frowns.

'He still lives in this town' I tell her, looking for a few more things I need to buy.

'That must be so sad, you're son is living in the same town as you, and it's a pretty small town too but you haven't seen him for years' she pouts cutely, making me smile. I follow her to the checkouts as she places our items on the conveyor belt, the cashier begins scanning them as the young woman refuses to let me pay, saying that she's more than happy to cover my shopping, I thank her.

She carries our bags in her hand as she walks me home, we occasionally stop so that I can rest briefly on a bench before we continue to my house. 'Tell me about yourself' I ask her.

'Well, my name is Eleanor Bradley and I recently moved to this town after being accepted at my job' she tells me.

'Where do you work?' I ask.

'I am the personal assistant to Mr James Andrews, the CEO of Andrews Corp' she tells me, smiling brightly.

I stop walking as soon as she finishes her sentence, she pauses too, looking confused as to why I have suddenly stopped. 'Did you say James Andrews?' I gulp, my eyes darting around the empty street. She nods, a slight frown on her lips, 'How is it? Working for him?'

She looks taken a back by my question, 'Um, well... it's not too bad, I've heard rumours about him being very strict and rude but he seems to me to be quite nice, a little cold and reserved but I wouldn't think that he lives up to the rumours about himself'

I stare at her, 'He's nice to you?'

She nods slowly, 'Yes, I mean when I first started he was rather cold but I feel as if he's beginning to warm up to me... he even took me to his house to work in his own personal office and apparently no one has ever set foot in his home before'

My jaw drops as what she's telling me registers in my brain, I take in her appearance, tall and beautiful with sparkling hazel eyes... so this is who they have chosen. 'You have a lot to learn about James Andrews, you should mentally prepare yourself' I state, I take my shopping bag from her before trying to hurry to my house, only a few more meters don the road.

She stumbles behind me to catch up, 'What do you mean? Do you know him?'

I pull out my house keys and open my front door and step inside, she stands outside looking confused, 'Maybe you should come round some other day and we can talk properly, you should remember where this house is, you may need to come here in the future' I tell her, her eyebrows furrow before I close the door in her face, making sure to lock it properly. Not that I'm scared she will break into my house or anything, I'm scared of them.

I take my shopping to the kitchen and begin unloading it all, my brain is thinking hard about what she said, James Andrews is nice to her, he is never nice to anyone, everyone in this town knows that he is most notorious for being cold hearted, rude and merciless, but now he's being nice to her... it seems that they have become what I wanted them to become.
