anxiety ~ Jeff

The whole gang was at the Streamy's. David was nominated for a few awards tonight and we were hoping he won at least one of them, if not we were still proud of him for the commitment and effort he puts into his work. I was sitting beside Jason and Zane and we were laughing at some awful joke that Zane made. Drinks were being passed around the table as the next award was coming up for Best Ensemble, a category we were nominated in.

"And the winner is, The Vlog Squad!"

David stood up first and cheered before pulling Natalie up as the rest of us followed suit. We all got on the stage as David started speaking. You would think that being in the spotlight was easy for me but it wasn't. I got pretty bad anxiety quite a lot and being on stage is still new because I'm never really up here, but being around my friends helped a bit, especially Jeff. Sure everyone knew how to calm me down but Jeff knew how to really calm me down so I would sleep and stay calm for the rest of the day. As David was speaking I could feel my heartbeat picking up and my hands started getting clammy. I looked around to see if anyone was noticing but no one was. I felt someone's hand grab mine and hold it. I looked back and saw Jeff, I gave him a smile as I carried on listening to David's speech.

We were back at David's house for a few drinks to celebrate David's wins. I ate a few slices of pizza before walking outside and overlooking the view of L.A.

"You alright?"

"I'm ok now, thanks for noticing earlier"

"I could see you breathing pretty fast I knew what was happening"

"Thank you again. I didn't realize you were stood behind me"

"I'm glad I did otherwise no one would've known"

"Yeah. How come you came outside?"

"I could ask you the same"

"I needed some fresh air still felt a little anxious from earlier, what about you?"

"Just checking you're alright?"

"I'm good. I keep forgetting how beautiful L.A is at night time"

"I know what else is beautiful"

"What?"

"You"

"Oh stop"

"I'm being serious. You are the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. You all the love and support you get"

"That's the first time I've heard that in a while"

"You should hear it everyday when you wake up and when you go to bed just so you know that you're loved by someone, like me"

"You love me?"

"Yeah. I know you feel it too. Whenever we hug or I'm calming you down I know your heartbeat picks up"

I looked at home a bit shocked but happy that it was finally out there. I didn't have to hide it anymore. His lips were placed upon mine as we kissed with L.A behind us. Who knew anxiety could create a relationship. A relationship long waiting for.
