pity fight ~ Scotty

Things have been unusual for some reason. We've never been this distant from each other. I try to talk to him but he claims he has somewhere to be or has something to do and it feels off because he always invites me to things and to make things worse, I'm 6 weeks pregnant. How am I meant to tell Scotty if he keeps being distant from me.

"Jay, do you know when Scotty is coming back?"

"No idea. Are you guys ok?"

"I have no idea to be honest. I try to talk to him or hang out but he claims he always have something to do"

At this point I'm crying and all Jay can do is hug and let me cry makeup onto his shirt.

"What else is bothering you?"

"I'm 6 weeks pregnant, but can't Scotty cuz he's always gone"

"Congratulations and I can try and have a word with him whenever he gets home"

"Thank you. I'm going to clean up and then if you need me I'll be outside by the pool"

"Ok. Let me know if you need anything"

I sat outside by the pool watching the cloud float by in the sky. I saw Scotty arrive home but he hasn't come out yet. I just assume he's showering and changing. A few minutes go by and I hear something smash in the house. I stood up and rushed inside to find a vase on the floor in pieces and both Jay and Scotty on the floor with blood on their faces.

"What the hell!"

"I'm sorry Y/n, I lost my cool"

"Why is the vase broken? And why are you both bleeding?"

"I was trying to talk to Scott and he wouldn't listen"

"You came at me for no reason. I've done nothing wrong"

"You at such a douchebag! You are being a prick towards Y/n! Why are you pushing her away!"

"Actually you are, babe. I try to do everything and anything to spend time with you but you leave before I get the chance. I don't even know if the relationship is holding up anymore"

"See, she's hurt Scott. Are you really going to break a pregnant woman's heart"

"Pregnant?"

"Yes you idiot she's 6 weeks pregnant and she's been trying to tell you but you keep fucking off before she can even tell"

Scotty turned to look at me, tears forming in the corners of his eyes. He walked over to me as Jay walked out of the room. He grabbed my shoulders and pulled me into his chest and hugged me. I started crying as I heard his emotions.

"I'm so sorry for being a prick. I'm sorry for not paying attention to you"

"Something has been bothering you. I can see it. Wanna talk?"

"Yeah"

"Let's go outside"

I grabbed his hand and lead him outside as we sat down. We had a really good talk that we didn't even realise it was night time now. We walked into our bedroom and got changed for bed. Scotty gently laid his head on my stomach and placed a kiss on the bump that was barely there.

"I'm sorry again"

"It's ok, baby. Just please whenever you feel like you need a talk. I'm always here. I'll be your shoulder to cry on or person to rant about stuff to"
