nature ~ Heath

Being the adoptive sister of a popular Youtube Star was alright at some times and then other times it's hard and stressful. The stressful part is knowing if Heath is actually happy about me being his sister. There are times where he'll completely ignore me and then he's friendly with me the next day. Everybody else is the same with me every day, they're all lovely and kind to me.

I woke up before Heath and Mariah so I decided to make them some breakfast since they are letting me crash at theirs for a while. I decided on making some waffles with bacon and eggs. I made some coffee and placed the sweetener and creamer on the countertop along with the food. After a few seconds Mariah and Heath walked into the kitchen.

"It smells amazing"

"Good morning Mariah"

"Did you do all this?"

"Yes. It just made sense to do something nice for you and Heath as a thank you for letting me crash here"

"It's no problem. I can't wait to dig in"

"Go ahead. I'm going to get dressed ready for my hike"

"Oh can I tag along?"

"Sure. Does Heath want to come too?"

"No thanks"

"Ok. I'll be ready in 10 Mariah"

Mariah and I were about 40 minutes into our hike when we noticed Jeff and Todd. I went and hugged them both but stayed hugging Jeff, since he is my boyfriend.

"Hey boys"

"Hey, how are you?"

"Tired, is it just you two?"

"Nah, Scott and Heath are here too"

"Heath?"

"Yeah said he needed to hike"

"Oh"

"What's wrong?"

"He said he didn't want to come with Mariah and I"

Just then Scott and Heath walked into view behind Jeff and Todd. Scott gave me a hug as I just stared at Heath.

"So you did want to hike after all? You could've just come with Mariah and I. Did I do something wrong to make you hate me?"

Everyone turned their heads to Heath and waited for him to say something, but he stayed silent.

"Mariah, do you mind going home with the guys. I just want to leave. I know when I'm not wanted around"

"Go ahead. Have some time"

"Thanks, bye guys"

I started walking back to my car when I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked back and saw Jeff and Todd.

"Scott and Mariah are having a word with Heath but we thought we'd come with you. Are you ok?"

"I'll be fine once I clear my mind"

"Why don't we go freshen up and then Jeff and I will take you out for the day"

"Sounds exciting"

Jeff grabbed my hand as we got in my car.

The boys and I got back to my home after a day of fun at the beach and then the arcades. We walked into the house to find Mariah and Heath sat in the living area.

"Hey"

"Hi. Did you have fun?"

"Yeah"

"Boys why don't we leave Heath and Y/N to talk?"

"Ok"

I gave Jeff and quick kiss before sitting opposite Heath.

"I'm sorry for treating you like shit. It was never my intention to hurt you, my sister. I guess it just felt weird to have family that wasn't blood related come into my life. What I'm trying to say is that, you are amazing and I'm happy you're my sister. I may have come across like the worlds terrible brother but trust me I love you and you're going to my sister forever and I have to come to terms with that and I will"

"That's all I needed to hear Heath. When I found out I was finally getting a family with parents and siblings I was excited because I didn't know what being loved felt like and when you guys took me in I felt what I had been missing for the first 12 years of my life. I have a mom, dad and siblings. All I needed was your love to make me feel like I was welcome and now that you've given me that; I'm feel more at home. Everyone outside of the family has given me love I've never known before and I am appreciative of that. You're my brother forever and nothing will change that"

We hugged each other before everyone else rejoined us and watched movies for the rest of the day. Todd ended up going home but Jeff stayed and slept over. I'm finally a Hussar and it feels great.
