"What goes around, comes around."
Days and nights turn into weeks, her month of training is drawing near to end. Leona can feel the changes not only physically, also mentally and emotionally. Her physical strength has never been this strong. She's stronger than ever-- so far. Her emotion became stable, so does her belief-- she knew at some point, it's shallow, empty even. She hoped her emotion becomes really stable as she make herself believed to be.
Sulin has proven a great teacher. She's disciplined, steadfast and scrupulous person. She motivates --forces rather--Leona to her highest potential. Never has she ever bended her rules for her. She taught Leona of her basic principle in life: What goes around, comes around. Eventually, Leona will rip what she sow. Leona needs to be stronger-- in all aspects-- than anyone if she wants her relationship with person like Ashley.
During Leona's training, Ashley only visited her twice. He doesn't want to see her and disturb her during her month of training. He's unstoppable when it comes to the girl. Another reason is that, he doesn't want to stop Sulin if ever he saw her hurting. Though, he loves the girl truly, it didn't leave his mind that she's still young and needed to learn many things. She needs to protect herself and never depend on him-- as much as he wanted her too. He can't let her depend on him. Surely, he will lavish and spoil her with his love, but she has things to do on her own.
"How do you feel?" Sulin panted out. Sparring with Leona was quite tiresome. The girl had such aptitude for speed. She learns quickly as well.
"Never better, Miss Sulin." Yes, they decided to call Sulin a Miss and not teacher.
"Good. This is our last day, isn't it?" Leona nodded simultaneously swung her legs, nearly kicking Sulin's shin.
"You're getting more faster." Sulin commended. It's her turn to defense. They've set up this rule of attacker and defender.
"Thanks," Leona sternly said, thinking of another strategy. She's panting, sweats all over her body, drenching her clothes. Her lips were pale and dry, her throat too.
She studies Sulin's position. She's becoming more utilise of offensive stances.
"Let's have 30 minutes to offense and defense. Don't worry, I'll not exert force too much-- just something I knew you could take." Leona stopped attacking Sulin and nodded.
She's pretty nervous to say the least. Her heartbeats doubled as her mind wonder how will she defend herself and win against Sulin. She clenched her hands in to tight fist.
"Okay, Ms. Sulin." She softly answered-- still panting hard. She stood ready, her usual kamae stance. Sulin then positioned herself, legs slightly apart, arms on her waist and stand firmly straight-- shizentai stance.
"Remember, don't think of winning, think of not losing." Sulin reminds her-chuckling. Leona nodded, though she was really thinking of winning-- dreaming is really the term.
"Yes, Miss!" She strongly replied, acknowledging Sulin's teaching.
Leona took the initiative to attack Sulin, which surprised her teacher. She swings her prominent leg-- her right leg, aiming for Sulin's hip.
'That's too common." Sulin internally whispered. She raises her knee to meet Leona's leg. To her surprise, Leona quickly folded her knee and jump, turning her body to aim for Sulin's shoulder. She succeeded to hit her. Leona eyes widened in surprise and glee.
Leona heard her yelp.
'What just happened?! I just hit Ms. Sulin!' That's quite a feat. She hadn't hit her even once, try hard as she may. Her heart pounded as she watches Sulin massage her left shoulder.
