"Birds with the same feathers flock together.""We need to carry on with your case." Ashley said whilst reading the documents on his table. He and Leona were inside his room. Leona is sitting on his bed whilst he was sitting on his working table.
"I've read the document. I see, you took the records from the hospital." Leona said pertaining to her records when she was admitted to the hospital.
"Yes, and it's one of our proof apart from the recording..." He trailed off.
"It's okay." She assured him. "What about the drug case?" She asked.
"We will conduct a medical test to make sure you're all healthy, and eligible to continue your training."
"It won't look suspicious right?"
"Not with me, and it happens sometimes depending on the company."
"So, tell your friends not to use illegal drugs for the mean time." He looked over her and winked.
"Why are you so fed up with them?" She laughed at his antic.
"Well, for one, your friends are badmouthing me and they are corrupting your mind against me."
Leona knew he was only joking and she couldn't helped giggling at his cute and endearing personality-- so unlike him, before.
"They are not badmouthing you, it's more like telling the truth. In their defenses, they don't know who you are and they are afraid of you, and I can't really blame them. Besides, you shouldn't supposed to hear that."
His mouth went agape and incredulously stared at her.
"See? They're corrupting you. I am not cold and unbending." He strongly denied Jiaying opinion.
"I don't know... I always thought you're cold and unbending, but that was before..." She knowingly smiled to him.
"And now?"
"You're kind of cute and caring, but still unbending. You know what? It's not a bad thing to be unbending. In fact, it makes you look respectable, responsible and reliable. It makes me feel safe." She confessed with encouraging smile. Ashley's lips almost instantly curved upwards. Grinning, he nodded bashfully.
"Okay, good to know." He tried to go back reading, but he knew she's still staring. His heart pounded with excitement and joy at the same time shyness.
"Oh, isn't the show will be posted at 8pm?" Leona jolted remembering the show. It almost slipped her mind. Ashley nodded at her.
"It's 10 past 8. Can we watch the show? My mom told me they will be watching the show at home." She felt sad she couldn't greet her mother personally or even write her a heartfelt letter.
"You can turn the television on. I'll finish reading this and I'll follow you."
Ashley watched Leona walks to his living room just outside his wide open door. He heard its her mother's birthday and thought of calling the family together with Leona. He wants to make good impression with her family and maybe try to get on their good side.
After nearly 30 minutes, he followed Leona to his living room.
"Isn't that one of your friends?" He sat next to her.
"Yes, that's Jiayi. She's cute."
"Jiayi? One of the Chua twin?"
"Yes. Her twin is Jiaying."
"Her voice sounds familiar..."
"Is it?"
Leona asked internally laughing at Ashley. Jiayi and Jiaying voice are similar and he already heard Jiaying during the girls' lunch earlier.
