Chapter 10: Trouble comes from careless talk

"No worries, we will give you another week to present. Every group leaders. Please proceed to the dance studio for further information. We will be expecting you shortly." Ashley then walk towards the door. The other mentors followed after him as they took their exit. Ashley went out, but after taking a glimpse of Liquan.

The trainees went frenzy after hearing the news. Huian felt devastatingly mad. She felt her efforts to progress all came crushing down. She stood and took a deep breath repeatedly to calm her anger.

"I'm going," She coldly said before taking her leave out the hall. Her eyes shoot daggers to an innocent Liquan's back.

The other leaders followed suit, dejectedly. Not only their efforts were wasted, they've also devoted their time and full attention to progress. Also, they felt ashamed of laughing at Liquan groups.

"I will update you, guys, after this." Liquan said before walking out. Jiao, Jiayi and Jiaying felt extremely grateful of having Liquan as their team leader. Not only she's talented, she also care for them.

"Tell me, is it just me who felt satisfied?" Jiao asked the two then winked. She pertains to Huian reaction.

"Absolutely, you're the only evil in our group." Jiaying responsed and smirked at her.

"Oh, come on! Live a little, you two!" She fought back.

"What are you talking about?! You live a little, midget!" Jiayi laughed out loud.

"I'm not short! You're just a little bit taller!"

"A little bit?..."

"Okay, fine. A bit taller. It's just a couple of inches."

The twin make fun of Jiao. They failed to notice the other trainees' glances of them.

Jia on the neighbouring table saw the banter, she secretly rolled her eyes heavenwards. She doesn't like the girls.

"Do you think Huian's mad?" Jia attention was drew back to their own table.

"She's apparently mad. Didn't you see the way she clenched her knuckles like she wants to knock something out?" Chen rolled her eyes in annoyance.

"One can tell how she work hard to progress only to be wasted."

They nodded at what's Jia said. Knowing Huian, she wants everything under her control. She hates it when something is out of her control. She hates it when effort go to waste

"But, did you noticed how incredibly calm Liquan earlier? Ahhh... your group leader's quite a character." Cheng smirk at Jia.

"She's always calm, you know..." Jia dragged out.

"I can say." She agreed, nodding. "She even eats well earlier. I can totally understand knowing you have yet to work on your choreography. You didn't waste time like us. Fate's work on your group, yeah?..." Cheng winked. The group laughter resonated in the hall.

At this moment, Jia's eyes darken. Out of all the things she doesn't like, it's to be laughed at is what she hated the most.

"Stop laughing at me... it's just that, she knew it beforehand, that makes her at ease..." Her voice trailled off and pouted her lips.

"Know what?" Chen asked.

"Liquan knew the change of plan." She answered shortly. The neighbouring table started to gossips. The four subconsciously widen their eyes.

"She knew?!" Cheng clarified. Jia nodded.

Jia doesn't know that whatever she meant is not what other thinks. What Jia meant is that, the only reason Liquan did not speculated for worse and looks so calm is that because she knew the news before the mentors can make an announcement. The other trainees think that Liquan knew that there will be a change of plan even before they're given the task. They thought that because Liquan knew the plan beforehand, she doesn't work for her group choreography. But, instead linger inside the gymm. She knew that there'll be a change so she doesn't make a move.

"Great! What a pretentious little girl she is!"

"See? You want to be her friend? Not only she's snob. She's also cunning!"

"Good, good... Liquan... just you wait."

"She probably enjoyed watching us working like crazy!"

However, Jiao and the twin didn't knew anything bad is already happening as their banter gets louder.

Unbeknownst to Jia, she had just made Liquan a subject of resentment and contemp.

In the dance studio, ten group leaders stood in front of the mentors. They waited for the mentors to speak.

Liquan stood at the back.

"For everyone, don't feel aggravated of the news. After this three weeks of practice. There will be another news that may or may not surprise you. After almost 3 months of observing you all, we noticed that some of you may not be destined to dance after all. We saw a lot of potential of an aspiring actress in some of you. There are quite a few different career path in entertainment industry that you can take. You can be either a dancer, singer, musician, actress, and model. We provide platforms, we cultivate you, we teach and guide you. You need to create a pathways for your own. Enable to do that, you need to think of it a thousand times. You need to consider a lot of things. Are your skills really suitable for dancing, singing, acting, modeling or what. Is this really what you want or not? For the meantime, focus on the three weeks preparation. After that, everything will follow. Heads start, this dance will be very difficult and hard."

Liquan raised her hand to ask.

"If I am going to choose a different path. Will I need to leave?" She almost choked when she noticed Ashley scrutiny.

"Would you choose a different path?" He asked. David on his side scratch his nape. He notice that he's been being talkative when it comes to this certain girl.

"No, but I will not close my mind if opportunities knock."

She lied. If anything, she doesn't want to stop dancing. Dancing mean something great, it completes her.

"No, you don't need to leave. As of today, we just wanted you to know about the plan. For what will happen next month will be clear next month. You guys wait for further information."

She nodded. As long as nobody needs to leave, she's fine with it.

"For now, you can rest. Tomorrow we will be starting our dance practice. I hope it will only take you one day to master the step as you still need to practice it with your group member." He added.

"No pressure there!" Mandy laughed. She ushered the girls out of the room.

"That's totally stressful for them..."

"Yeah,"

"If they truly want this, they'll endure."

After getting out, Leona decided to return to her room to study. Unbeknownst to her, the other trainee awaits outside of the dining hall.

"There they are!" One shouted, pointing at Liquan and the other on her back. Oblivious of the disdain and hatred of the other trainees. Liquan walk towards the three.

"We can rest for today. I'll be going to our room."

"She's very beautiful. It's true, demons lie in beautiful façades."

"I have really admired her, you know. I thought she's kind."

"How disappointing."

Unaware of their pointy stares, she continue to walk.

"We'll come with you!" The three followed her without looking back. At that moment, they knew, something's wrong.

"Huian! We have news for you."
