Crystal's POV:
He gasped. I could tell he was shocked.
“Why, Crystal? Why do you want to leave?” I smiled and kissed him on the lips.
“Number One: we need to find a pastor and I know that my pastor from my hometown would marry us without asking any questions. Number Two: our children will need proper schooling and friends. Number Three: Blayne needs friends. We could come back-” I stopped when I saw him staring at me. I tried to think of what I had said. “What did I say?”
“You talked about children?” Then I blushed like a tomato. It was way to soon to talk about children.“I am sorry! I shouldn't have mentioned it. But we have to plan for the future.” I was still blushing furiously. He smiled and kissed my cheeks.
“I understand. I just never thought I would have children.” I smiled and said,
“Well, what do you think?” I saw him sit back and think about it.
“You have three very good points. As much as I would hate to leave this place it is better if we do. We could always come back to visit. I have one question. Are we going to bring the wolves? I can't part with them.” I smiled and stroked Nantucket's head. She was sitting on the floor with Cromwell. I had no idea where the rest were.
“Of course, we can find a lovely ranch in the northwest and keep the dogs and wolves. I would dream of parting with them.” Nantucket purred as if she understood me. I saw Erik smile slightly.
“That is the only thing that really binds me to this place. True, this is my masterpiece but I can leave it without much grieving. Yes, I think I could move to America. But where would we stay once we get there?”
“We can stay with Shantell. She has nearly one hundred acres in the middle Wyoming. We would stay with her on her father's horse ranch.”
“You have all this worked out don't you?” I grinned at him. It was true, I had it all worked out.
“Well, then can we?”
“Okay, but how are we supposed to get to America.” There I frowned. I hadn't thought about that.
“Well, I guess you could slip back across the border and I and Blayne could go the normal way. I will have to work with his family so that we can adopt him. After all he is wanted because he is a run away.” Erik nodded.
“That will do. I don't understand the legal matters so you will have to handle it all. It will be a long trek with the wolves but I will do it. How about you leave for America and I will take the wolves. It should have snows and iced enough for me to make it to the border. Once I reach it then I will go across and somehow get the wolves to Wyoming. You will have to give me the address and the trek should take me no more than two months.” I scowled but knew that was the only way for it to work. He didn't have a car or even a driver's license.
“Okay, when do we want to leave?” Erik thought about it then gave me the deer-in-the-headlights look.
“We have to ask Blayne. We completely forgot him. We have to ask if he wants to come.” I slapped my forehead.
“How could we? Where is he? Blayne! We need to talk to you!” Blayne appeared at the doorway to his room.
“What's wrong?” I motioned for him to come to the couch. He walked over and said,
“If this is about me catching you two making out then I am so sorry. I didn't mean to!” He gave me the puppy dog look. I smiled and shook my head though I was blushing like mad.
“No, it isn't about that. I was wondering how you would like to move to America?”
