𝐇𝐔𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐑. ( 𝘫𝘰𝘩𝘯𝘯𝘺𝘣𝘰𝘺 )

TWENTY-NINE.

FEBRUARY 9TH, 2019. (SATURDAY)

Johnny takes a deep breath, laying sprawled out across the couch. Ponyboy was resting on top of him, watching the movie that they had decided on. They had invited the rest of the gang to watch with them if they wanted to. And so far, Soda and Dallas were cuddled up in front of the couch, Steve had his boyfriend Elijah, and Two-Bit and Darry were still out somewhere.

The couples were watching the movie in silence before hearing the front door open. In came Darry and someone else. Someone else that Soda and Ponyboy haven't seen since they were younger. So, this was just a surprise, to say the least. Ponyboy lifts his head up a little and he furrows his eyebrows.

"Paul?" The young teen questions, looking at them oddly. Now he was just really confused. Darry handy brought him around since he was in high school. That was two, nearly three years ago. "What're you doing here with my brother...?"

The blonde looks at everyone and his cheeks go red in embarrassment. He knew that they were supposed to be coming out but it still embarrassed him. The 21-year-old leans against his lover and hums softly, waving a little.

"Well," Darry starts. "I wanted to kind of, sort of, maybe, come out to you guys. As dumb as that may sound to you guys. It's just taken a lot of time and courage, I guess. I didn't know how you all would feel, despite pretty much all being... Some sort of way... Homosexual."

Dallas couldn't help but snort a little at that, nodding his head as he pulled his boyfriend closer to him. He rests his head against his shoulder, smiling happily. The blonde was glad Darry felt comfortable enough to come out to them all.

"Alright, get on with it," Soda says playfully. "I guess that we could just do that today. Cause now I know my brother is with someone. Steve, you haven't forked over the story. I wanna hear it... And Two-Bit isn't here yet so I'm just suspicious about him."

And without missing a beat, the Mickey Mouse lover himself was in the house. He had someone with him too. Someone that they hadn't seen at all. At the sight of everyone, Two-Bit couldn't help but laugh. He could only guess that everyone was curious now too.

"Two-Bit, sit down with the redhead and sit in line," Johnny teases. "Darry's first on the get together the story, then Steve, and you're last. So just sit down and get comfortable. "There's room in here somewhere for everyone. Just squeeze in."

It didn't take long for everyone to be seated around with their lover before looking around at everyone else. There were 10 people all crammed into one moderately sized living room. Although, Johnny and Ponyboy claimed the whole couch by sprawling out even more.

"Okay, so," Darry starts. "I bumped into him again at the grocery store. He was buying beer and I was just getting stuff for dinner. I was really surprised, to say the least. He invited me over and gave me his address. I went over there after I had made dinner and ate, just so I could see what was going on with him now... We talked and I gave him my number. I didn't see him again after that for about a week."

The gang continues to listen intently, the movie that was playing in the background was only mere white noise now. They were just all curious about how their oldest member of the gang finally found love. It was almost odd, really.

"I was roofing a house and he came into work. Turns out, he was the plumber. So, after everyone started to go home, I went to talk to him. It was fine for a little bit before we got into a small fight about high school," Darry says. "He confessed right then and there. I was kind of shocked so I told him to prove it... And he definitely proved it to me."

Darry's cheeks go bright red.

"And we've been dating ever since."

The gang all gave their input but they were overall happy. They were just glad to see him happy and smiling. It had been so long since they've seen him all smiles. They were thankful for Paul making him happy. That's all they wanted.

"Steve, you're up," Ponyboy says. "Storytime."

The older teen nods and he purses his lips, thinking about how he could tell them. He wasn't fantastic at storytelling skills. So, he would just do the best that he could with this. It was a little different.

"Okay, so, I actually met Elijah in my Sophomore year of school," Steve starts. "He was really shy, to say the least, and I knew right away that he was going to be different. We talked all the time in school. I gave him my number and we talked after school too. Even while I was on shifts at the DX. It was really nice and I knew that I liked him. So, I confessed to him while he was with me at work. He liked me too. But he told me something that I had to be okay with before we got together. Of course, I was okay with it. And we've been together ever since."

"What did he tell you?" Soda questions.

Steve looks at Elijah and the blonde nods his head sheepishly, looming at his boyfriend. The blonde was really embarrassed about sharing it with people but he trusted them. At least he hoped that he could trust them.

'"Elijah is trans," Steve says. "He's a boy stuck in the wrong body. So, obviously, there would be a few complications. But I love my handsome boy just the same."

Elijah kisses his cheek and smiles, listening to the rest of the gang 'awe' at them.

"Keith's turn!" Johnny exclaims happily. "Go!"

Two-Bit laughs softly, his arm slung around his redheaded lover. Their story probably wasn't anything fantastic, but he loved it all the same. He kisses Adam's cheek, holding his hand to comfort him a little bit.

"Like Steve, I met Adam in school, but this year," Two-Bit says. "Although, he's a junior and I am a second-time senior, I had a few classes with him. He was really quiet and I made it a goal to talk to him. So, I would make every excuse out of the book to say something to him. I got him to laugh and hold small conversations. It was nice. And soon enough, he would start just talking to me on his own."

The older teen of the two looks at his redhead lover, pressing a kiss to his cheek. He really enjoyed his company. And for once, they were going slow. Adam was very much set on a slow pace, and since Two-Bit was so whipped for him, he followed every line to a T.

"We were at my house one day when he told me that he liked me," Two-Bit starts. "I, of course, liked him too and we got together. And now he's just a bigger sweetheart than before. And I care for him a lot."

The gang all reacted the way that they did for everyone else's story. Happy. And with that, everyone went back to finishing the movie. It didn't take much longer for everyone to end up falling asleep though.

Everything was finally perfect.
