26. "It's Simple"

The couple at the sinks stared and Alexa whimpered slightly as Blake stared at her with an animalistic look in his eyes. "Awww. Look Blakey. Its the wittle baby couple" Summer said and Alexa got the feeling she wasn't being nice, AT ALL.

"Shut up Summer" sneered Daniel, but Alexa felt his grip slightly loosen on her, clearly showing her that he was scared. Pushing Daniel away, Alexa stepped forward. "What the fuck do you guys even want?" Alexa glared at them.

"Oh! Its simple. I want Daniel. Blake wants you. Just give yourselves over to us and its that simple" Summer smiled and in that moment, Alexa got reminded of a toad whos lips got smeared pink and was hung by its lips so that it streched badly.

"Um...How about No?" Alexa said rolling her eyes. "Oh hunny! You just made it harder for yourself. And while we're at it, why don't we learn something more about ourselves?" Summer grinned and Alexa raised her eyebrows.

"Learn something more?" Alexa scoffed and Daniel whispered in her ear saying, "Something tells me I'm not really gonna like what she's gonna say" and Alexa nodded.

"Lets start off with the fact that your little 'friend', if you could call her that I supposed. Heard of her recently? No? Well, I know why. She's safe though, just a little starved considering that we're not providing her enough food" Summer smirked.

"What are you talking about?!" Alexa rolled her eyes and Summer snorted in a way ultimately similar to a pig. But pigs are cuter.....

"Kay. Kay Cook. She had one job and she failed. Making me step in. Ughh. Well, next topic. I have got to say, you seem fine after having no one im your little family. At least, no one who cares." Summer said and Daniel rolled his eyes this time.

"Yah? Well I care. So shut up" Daniel said and Blake snarled. "YOU MEAN NOTHING TO HER" Blake sneered and Alexa shook her head. "He means everything to me so shut up!" Alexa yelled and she grabbed Daniel's hand and dragged him outside, away from the poisonous idiots.

Walking outside and into Alexa's car, Alexa straddled Daniel's lap, glad that her car windows were tinted. "Look, both of them are jealous and absolute idiots. I love you and you mean everything to me so fuck their words" Alexa breathed and Daniel nodded as he hugged her close to him.

Smiling, they drove home. Alexa walked up to change her clothes and Daniel walked into the kitchen to see people screaming at each other.

"You can shut the fuck up! Who the fuck do you think you are?" Zach yelled at the smaller brown haired girl that Daniel realised to be Emery.

"You're being unreasonable. I was fricken tryna help! What is wrong with you?!" Emery yelled back, trying to protect herself. "Nothings wrong with him. Why are you yelling?!?" Daniel screamed, all his pent up anger getting the best of him.

"Daniel! You have to understand that I didn't do anything" Emery begged and Daniel rolled him eyes. "You have NEVER done a good thing in your life. What makes you think I'm going to believe you now?" Daniel sneered and Emery never replied, instead standing there with glossy eyes.

"Such an idiotic little bitch. So you agree!" Screamed Zach and Emery finally broke. "WHAT THE FUCK HAVE I EVER DONE TO YOU?!? SO WHAT IF I DID SOMETHING LONG AGO?! I APPOLOGISED! I appologised Daniel. And you perfectly know what I have been through! You promised me you'd take care of me! Is this what you meant!?!?" Emery yelled and ran out of the kitchen, weaving her way through the halls, mistakley bumping into someone.

"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to! Don't hit me" Emery begged through blurred vision and looked up to see Alexa. "Emery?? Sweetie, what happened??" Alexa said and led her outside to the backyard where there was a small wooden bench to sit. You could see the kitchen window from here and she saw Daniel and Zach, both their head hung low while Christina's mouth moved rapidly as if she were scolding them.

They both sat down, with Emery still sobbing. "Alexa...there's something I need to tell you. Its not easy to talk about but....I- I'm suicidal" and Emery heard Aleca gasp.

"My family....well I never had one. Dad left when I was young and Mom was a drunk. Sometimes, I'd get abused. When we moved to Portland, I met Daniel and I found out he was more or less my cousin. We bonded. And I never meant for anything to happen with Daniel and Summer. I never did really. If I had know, I would have gone with him. But he wanted to go on his own over to Summer and-" Emery broke off sobbing harder than ever.

Suddenly, Emery began gaspingfor air. Maybe it was just her mind messing with her. Maybe it was just her anxiety or depression, but Emery couldn't breathe. Alexa screamed and everyone came rushing out, just to see Emery fall over.

And for Emery, everything went black.
