35. "What's Wrong?"

recap: Maybe their happiness would last

"Happy birthday love!" Alexa screamed, jumping on the sleeping boy and Daniel groaned, lifting his head up from the pillow. "Get up! Your fucking 17 now" Alexa screamed and Daniel heard the other boys and Emery laughing. "Oh my fucking god. Your 17!" Alexa gasped and Daniel rolled over underneath her so that she was straddling his torso.

"You'll be 17 in august" Daniel said, raising his eyebrows and Alexa grinned. "But your 17 now! Also, get up. Your family is downstairs. They wanna spend time with you" Alexa grinned and an hour later, the Seaveys were out of the house, after having Alexa's in-famous fruit pancakes. 

"Ok. We have a few hours and everything needs to be perfect" Alexa squealed and all of the others chuckled, setting to work. The doorbell rang and a guy stood there. "Package for Ms.Mills" he said and Alexa took the package and signed to confirm that she had recieved the package. "Is it that?" Emery asked and even Zach stopped wrapping Jack in the streamers, and screamed when Alexa nodded.

"Ugh, Zach. Are you like trans or something? You scream like a girl" Jonah said, shaking his head to clear the ringing in his head. After a few hours, everything was set up and Daniel had come home to an excellent surprise. "Daniel? Could you come up here?" Alexa said into the microphone and all the guests turned to look at the small stage that they had set up as Daniel walked up to the front.

And just like 2 months ago, this time Alexa got down on her knees and pulled out a box with 2 rings inside and Daniel grinned. "Daniel James Seavey.  I'd say it isin't fair if I'm the only one walking around with your mark on my finger. So I'll say, despite this not happening much in relationships, I won't promise you in vain. Because, no matter if the world is ending, I promise to always love you, to never cheat. And if you promised to switch my promise ring with an engagement ring, then I promise you that you will end up with a wedding band on your finger. One that I will put on you. So you gonna accept my proposal?" Alexa grinned and Daniel chuckled, pulling her up and letting her slip the ring on his finger, and he grabbed the spare ring in the box and slipped it onto Alexa's finger, cheers erupting from the party guests.

That, was in April. Time had gone by, and not all of the 5 months were pure happiness. Jonah and Corbyn had graduated highschool along with Christina and Tate. Jonah and Tate along with Jack and Gabbie had broken up, Tate wanting to focus on college and Gabbie never having told them the reason. Zach and Emery were still best friends and Corbyn and Christina were finally officially dating, Corbyn having asked her out after flying over to her new school's prom.

It was currently the 20th of September, Daniel and Alexa's 11 month anniversary. Alexa was waiting for Daniel and the other boys to come back from this meeting they had with their new record label, since they had left early in the morning before Alexa or Emery could wake up. They had just been agreed to be formed a band and they were signing the contract today. 

Daniel walked in and Alexa smiled, running up to him and hugging him. "Happy 11 months love" she squealed, going to kiss him but Daniel turned his head and her lips landed on his cheeks, making her frown. "You alright love?" she asked him and he nodded but Alexa kept the frown on her face. "I have known you long enough to tell when your lying. What's Wrong?" She asked and Daniel gently pushed Alexa away.

"Alexa, I love you, I really do but we cannot do this. I cannot do this" Daniel said, his voice slightly cracking. "W-What? What are you talking about?" Alexa spoke, her voice cracking too and tears welling up in her eyes.

"Alexa, I'm breaking up with you"
