32.Messed Up

recap: Daniel....We found her

"You what- WAIT SERIOUSLY?!?!?!" Daniel screamed, jumping up from the bed and grabbing Christina's phone from her hands, only to see I-messages open with an address, which Daniel knew was a warehouse a few minutes away from the house. "We need to inform the police and they will bring her back to us" Tate smiled and Daniel froze up. 

"We're not going to save her?" He frowned, and Tate also frowned along with him. "If we go that's risking 9 other lives and putting them in danger-" Tate began and Daniel cut her off. "Are you fucking kidding me right now?!?" He screamed. "Daniel bro-" the boys said, for some reason in unison and Daniel pushed them away, trying to walk out of the room, however getting pulled back by Jonah and Corbyn.

Meanwhile.... 

"Oh this is wonderful....Gavin actually thinks you were loyal to him Thena" Jayden burst out laughing and Alexa saw her dad tense up. "W-What? Athena, please tell me he's joking. You're just pranking me right?" Gavin spoke, his voice shaking and Alexa almost snorted at how Messed Up her life was. 

'heck, if you don't like someone, why murder them by being with them then leaving them?' she thought to herself, frowning as Blake slowly neared her while her dad, Jayden and Athena, 'her mum', spoke, un-tangling a messy web of pure shit, that she didn't care a bit for. (That rhymed lol. I'll go away...)

"I'm sorry for everything I have ever done to you. I only did it to protect my family, like heck, I don't even like girls, which reminds me, if you and Daniel ever break up, send me his contact cause you got one heck of a boyfriend" Blake whispered into her ear, adding a sentence "this is the keys to your handcuffs, the rest are with Martin" he said as he dropped them into her bra, his hands not touching even an inch of her skin.

"Your friends will come" he smiled at her and she croaked out a "thanks" not being able to say much due to her dry throat, her having survived over 2 and a half days without water. She knew she shouldn't forgive him so fast, but his eyes, which she always had never been able to read easily, had sincerity shining through them, and it didn't seem fake either.

Alexa stood there, more like hung there considering the chains, and in that moment, she wondered what her life would be like 20 years from now. would she be married? Have kids? Would their dad be Daniel? 'But remember, he might be cheating on you' Alexa thought to herself.  

But she knew one thing for sure. That no matter what in the future, she would tell her children that she was an orphan. And she would make sure they didn't go through the same messed up shit as she did. That was a big absolute no.

And suddenly, the door slammed open, and there stood her friends. All of them, including Daniel. Oh god, he looked terrible. He had dark eyebags underneath his eyes but his face broke into a smile when he saw her.

"Well Well. If it isin't lover boy" Jayden smirked turning around and Alexa's friends jaws dropped at his face. "Mr.-Mr.Knight?" Gabbie voiced the question everyone was wondering and Jayden merely smirked, moving onto to explain the reason and Alexa saw Daniel sneak away from the group and towards her. 

"Lexa. Princess, oh my god. Do you know where the keys are?" Daniel spoke in a whisper, the tears in his eyes matching Alexa's as she finally asked the question that she had wanted to ask for 3 days now. "Daniel? Are you cheating on me" She croaked out and Daniel finally let the tears fall. "W-What? Why would you think that?" Daniel asked her, tears dripping down his cheeks, as he glanced to see Jayden still explaining them the complicated shit, that Alexa had simply tuned out before.

"Jayden told me you spend your nights with Gabbie and you haven't been beside me in bed for the week before I got kidnapped and-" Alexa began, but got cut off by Daniel. "It was supposed to be a secret but me and Gabbie are helping Jonah and Corbyn for valentines day and she was helping me plan out things for you and-" Daniel said but got cut off by Alexa, who said "The keys are in my bra" she said and Daniel's eyes widened as she told him to get it out.

Reaching into her bra and trying his best to not let any of his skin touch her breasts, he fished the keys out, though not successfully avoiding skin to skin contact. He unlocked the chains binding her and they fell away with a clang attracting everyone else's attention as they watched Alexa fall over into Daniel's arms who pulled his hoodie over her, which covered her until mid thigh.

"My my. This is not nice Daniel. I would have let you go but you just signed your death warrant" Jayden smirked, pulling out a gun and pointing it exactly at Daniel. "Jayden please" Alexa croaked out and he turned his attention to her. "This is between my biological family and you, and Daniel nor my friends have nothing to do with it except be there for me. So please" Alexa begged as loud as she could and Daniel handed Alexa over to Jonah, who supported her weight.

"Kill me if you want to but don't you dare come near her" Daniel growled, standing in Jayden's way and he smirked, raising his gun again. "Well, if you insist" He grinned and for the 2nd time that day, the door slammed open, and the group inside was met with men in blue.

 "Police! Hands up and drop the weapon!" A guy in the lead shouted and Alexa's eyes widened as Jayden shot her a weird smirk. He clocked the gun and Daniel stood there and out of the corner of her eyes, she noticed Carson unlocking the chains holding Gavin while Martin did the same to Kay's.

And in the split second occurred a moment of her life she was not likely to forget so easily. For in that moment, the next street heard a scream. A girl's scream. 

Right after 3 loud gunshot sounds...
