Forced Vampire

Chapter 2

Max calls to Sami, "You snooze you lose."

"You cheated!" Sami protested. "That's not fair."

"That makes it 3-0 in my favor." Max said.

Kai chuckles.

"Get inside." he tells them.

They run off, this time Sami running away first and then Max.

"What are you?" Lexa asked.

"What do you think?" Kai asked.

Lexa relised that his voice shifted to the way it was at our first encounter at the bar. Lexa thought: How can a guy change so much? What I think...? I don't know, it...it can't be real. What if I'm dreaming? This has to be a dream. That's it.

"Say it. Out loud." Kai said.

"You...it can't be." Lexa said.

"It can't be what?"

"You can't be...this is a dream, isn't it?"

"Hey Kai." Rico asked who bumped into us. "Who's this?

Rico looked at Kai startled at the scent of a human.

"Control yourself." Kai said.

"But that's...you brought a human."

"Rico, calm down."

"Why did you come out? Where are you going?"

"The Count sent me. He wants to see you."

"I'll be right there."

Rico smiled.

"Oh my God." Lexa exclaimed.

Lexa thought: When he smiled... his teeth. He... he has fangs. No, this isn't real. It can't be real.

"Get inside, you're not supposed to be outside the gates." Kai said.

"Okay, right." Rico answered. He went inside.

"I didn't exactly think this through." Kai said.

"You're...you really are..." Lexa said.

"Say it." Kai said.

Lexa thought: They run fast, they have fangs...the blood on Tina... It can't be...

"You're a vampire?" Lexa asked.

"See that wasn't so hard." Kai said.

"Are you?" Lexa exclaimed.

He winked at her. Lexa thought: Oh God. I have to get out of here. Lexa tried to run away but Kai stoped her before she was able to run a metre.

"Please, just let me go!" Lexa shouted.

"I can't do that yet." Kai said. "I have to get inside. Whatever happens, you stay behind me. Not everyone has learned full control yet, so you'll be safer with me."

"I'd be safer at home. What is this place?" Lexa asked.

"This is the Mansion." Kai explained.

"Filled with..."

"Vampires, yes."

"This isn't real, it's just a bad dream."

"Whatever get's you inside. Come on."

They walked inside into Count's room. It was full of books and fancy chairs. In the room stood a startled woman.

"What are you doing bringing a human to the Mansion?" Celeste asked.
