Chapter 10

Celeste and Kai returned to Count Livre's house and got greeted by Liza and Count Livre.

"Count Livre." Celeste said cursying and Kai bowed soon after.

I'm behaving from now on. Or at least I'll try.

"Your Grace, Your Honor." Count Livre greeted them. "I hope the situation got resolved."

"It did. We apologise about the sudden change of plans." Celeste said.

"There's no need. We managed to clear another room for you during your absence."

"Thank you, Count."

"Your Grace, Your Honor, I would like to apologise for my behaviour yesterday." Liza said.

Celeste nodded and contiued, "We have some questions about two of the students you have here."

"Which two?"

"Terry and Mia. They're on the list."

"Yes, what about them?"

"Who are their trainers?"

"Jack is training both of them. How come you're asking?"

"Where is Jack?"

"I'm not sure, he should be here..."

"There was an incident with one of his students." Liza said.

"Do you wish to talk to him?"

"About his students, yes thank you."

"Liza, go and get him would you?"

"Of course, father." Liza replied and went to get him.

"Should I...?" Kai asked.

"Not yet. We wanted to speak to you alone, Count. How come Liza and Jack didn't know about the compulsion." Celeste asked.

"I already expleained that."

"If we are here to help, I suggest that you are honest with us. Count."

"I don't...I wanted to see their reactions."

"You've been doubting their loyalties?"

"Not doubted, no not really. There have been some things that don't fit together. That's all."

"How good are they with compulsion?"

What is she doing now? I'm not following.

"Jack is the best one we have here but his powers are nothing compared to yours, Your Honor."

"Do we have permission to compel him and ask questions?"

"What kind of questions? Do you think he is the one who broke in to the security room?"

Liza came in with Jack.

"Liza, would you leave us for a second?" Count asked.

"What?" Liza said in shock.

"Wait outside." and she walked out.

"Count?" Celeste asked.

"What's going on?" Jack asked.

"Do it."Count replied.

"He's strong so you'll be asking the questions, Kai." and Kai walked over to Jack to compel him.

"What are you doing?" Jack asked.

"You're going to answer all of my questions truthfully, aren't you?" Kai asked.
