Kai was pacing in his room back and forth...

"No, I have to.." and ran out towards the corridor outside the room where Celeste and the doctor were talking.

"Kai, what are you...?" Celeste asked.

"I have to talk to her." Kai said.

"There's been..."

"No, I left her alone last night and now I need to see her."

"Excuse us." Celeste said to the doctor who left. "Listen to me. She doesn't want to see you right now."

"I don't care!"

"You are her trainer and you can go in, but if you do ypu might make things worse. You have to know when to...."

"Then I'm going in."

"She doesn't want you as her trainer anymore."

"What?"

"She said it yesterday but she did it in anger. I'm not taking it seriously until she's calmed down and repeats herself. If you go in and apologise; you'll undermine yourself."

"I don't care. I can't stand her hating me. You didn't see her yesterday. There were no emotions in her eyes when she...they were so...empty..."

"I can't stop you if you want to go inside."

"I know you can't." and he went in.

Finally, he actually cares about someone. The only problem is that he is her trainer. I have no idea how this is going to pan out.

Lexa was standing in the room when Kai walked in.

"Lexa..."

"Please, just leave me alone."

"No, I won't. You have to talk to me."

"No, Kai please."

"I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry." when he said that Lexa burst out crying, "No, please, it kills me to see you like this. I...I'm sorry."

"I don't want you to do that again."

"I won't. Please just don't hate me."

As if I could hate him. I'm still hurt but my wounds have already healed.

"Do...do you really want someone else to train you?"

"No...I didn't mean that, I was just..."

Before Lexa could finish Kai hugged her.

This is exactly what I need. Even though he was the one who inflicted the pain, I feel safe in his arms. He held me tight and I leaned my head against his chest.

"I'm really sorry, Lexa. I shouldn't have done that and I hate myself for it."

"No, I...I should have done it like you said."

"Don't say that. What I did was wrong and I know that. And I will never do it again. Is your back fine?"

"Yeah, it healed."

Kai walked over and kissed her, and Lexa did nothing less but kiss him back.

"I'm so, so sorry."

His lips. I've been fantasising about his ever since we kissed that time before he left for that job. I didn't do his kissing skills justice. It's way better than I remembered. But then again, every emotion is embedded in this kiss. Everything he's felt since yesterday and everything I've felt yesterday, all bashed into one kiss. We just stood there and kissed for...God I don't even know for how long. I lost track of time but it didn't matter. Only we did and the way we connected.
