Chapter 25

"Okay, so now that I've given you the tour, let's start with showing you how the machines work."

"Sure."

"Let's start with the coffee machine. So the thing is..."

"I think I know how to make coffee."

"Really? Then why don't you pour me a cup."

"You want me to pour you coffee."

"I want you to try."

"Okay. Um...there's something wrong with it."

"You don't say? I thought you knew how to make coffee?"

"There's something wrong with the machine."

"As I was saying, sometimes it gets stuck."

"You couldn't have told me that?"

"I was about to but you didn't let me."

"Okay, okay, sorry."

"Once Meg is done with that customer I'll show you how the register works. Or maybe you know how to use that too."

"You're like the boss here?"

"Not the boss, just in charge when Malroy...isn't."

"So the boss?"

"Call it whatever you want."

"Then boss it is."

"Okay good, you can clear the tables while I show Justin how the register said." Lexa told Meg and she walked over to Lexa and Justin.

"Sure." Meg said.

"Okay, so you'll get a code for the system." Lexa explained. "But it only has to be entered in the beginning and the end of the day."

"Okay."

Lexa continued explaning things to Justin when Dan walked in.

Oh great.

"Hey what can I get you?" Lexa asked.

"A coffee."

"Two-fifty. Here."

Dan got the coffee and left.

Okay, that was weird. What's up with him?

"What's wrong?" Justin asked looking at Lexa's worried face.

"Nothing,nothing. Okay...um...we usually prepare the pot of coffee so when someone orders it'll be quick and fresh."

"Okay."

Later that day, was serving a customer,

Shit, how did this thing work again.

"Just give me a sec."

"I don't have all day."

"I said, give me a second."

Oh no he didn't! He compelled her!

"Have a nice day." and the customer left.

"You can't do that." Lexa said walking up to him.

"Do what?"

"You compelled her."

"So, I only told her to wait. Don't tell me you haven't compelled a customer before."

"No, I haven't and you shouldn't."

That was a lie...I did and that was because Kai pissed me off...
