Chapter 26

Dan was on his phone when Lexa walked up to him,

"Hi." Lexa said and Dan left.

What the hell was that? That was like the second time he's ignored me. Did I do something to make him angry?

Lexa walked up to Nicole who was standing with a guy,

"Of course I'm a good dancer." Nicole said.

"Then you must be good in..."

"If only you knew. My friend is here so you can leave." Nicole said and he left. "Hey there sex princess. I'm assuming you guys talked things out?"

"Yeah, we're moving in together."

"That's great! He better treat you right Lex, or else I'll kill him, no joke."

"I know you're not joking. He's picking me up after work and is helping me pack."

"I'm also assuming you're not sleeping on the streets?"

"We're going to live at the mansion."

"The mansion?"

"It doesn't really matter where we live, a bunch of guards will live with us either way. It could might as well be at the mansion so they don't have to stand outside the doors every night."

"What are you talking about?"

"They can't leave the Count out of sight or be further away than...a few meters."

"Are you telling me that vampires, with super senses, have been standing outside the door while you have sex?"

"Nic!"

"That's hilarious!"

"Not cool."

"But seriously?"

"Yeah, but just once!"

"Oh my God! Move, move to the mansion now and have some privacy."

"I hate you."

"I'm kidding!"

A while later, Lexa was sitting next to Nicole in class, Lexa's phone buzzed so she checked the message. It was Justin,

-Hey, it's Justin, got your number from Meg. Are you working today?

-Yeah, I start at three. Why?

-I'll see you then but I was just wondering if you wanted to go out after?

What the hell?

"Nic, help."

"With what?"

"This." Lexa replied passing the phone over

"Oh my God! Did he just ask you out? Doesn't he know you have a boyfriend?"

"I haven't told him."

"Lex!"

"But it never came up!"

"Oh God..."

"I just got another one." Lexa said as she felt the buzzing.

-Okay. I think you misunderstood what I meant, I meant like hang out.

-I can't tonight.

-That's cool, I'll just see you at work.

-Yeah, sure.

"Okay, he only meant to hang out."

"You're so clueless."
