Chapter Fourteen: Closing the Chapter

She pulls me into a tight hug then says, "it's late..."
I nod.
"C—Can I sleep with you?" I whisper. She nods. I get up. We head off to bed.

The next morning

Frost seems kind of sad.
"Wh—What's wrong?"
She shakes her head.
"Nothing."
I look down.
"I love you."

Alice's POV

Frostine walks into the room she told us all to meet at. I sigh.
"Okay, so, to keep casualties low, I wanted everyone to have a group."
I nod.
"I will command A group. Alice, if you don't mind, I put you in charge of B group."
I nod. She sighs with relief.
"Allie, you're in charge of our speed force so I found it fitting for you to be in charge of C group."
She nods.
"And, Mariah, you'll take D group."
She nods.
"All right A group is King Merlin, bro—Paladin Emmanuel, and Daniella."
King Merlin nods. Daniella gives a smile to Paladin Emmanuel. He looks away.
"B group is Drew, Mordor, and Cameron."
I nod. Drew smiles softly. Mordor just nots.
"C group is our smallest group. Mary and Ryan."
Allie nods. Mary gives a weak smile. Ryan sighs softly.
"D group is Alex, Morgana, and Cato."
Mariah nods. Alex kisses her cheek.
She smiles. He smiles back.
"Okay, is everyone ready?"
We nod. Frostine smiles.
"Okay... let's go..."
We head out and see the army face to face.
"Duck!" Cameron yells. I do. He knocks his club into a guy sending him into the crowd. I sigh. Drew strangles one with a vine then turns into a bear and starts ripping them up. Mordor chants something then a blast takes care of a good chunk. I use poison spray it takes care of the rest. Our area is cleared!

Mariah's POV

Cato throws his sword at one of the guys. I shoot some guys with my arrows. I hear music and suddenly feel more active. I continue doing it. Morgana suddenly stabs three of the guys. Cato grabs his sword. Where is Alex? I look around for Alex. He's the one playing the music! Why is he playing music?
"Alex, I think we've all been inspired enough!" Morgana yells.
"Okay!" He says before grabbing his scimitar. I sigh. He lunges at one and does a dramatic slash. I smile. He turns and smiles back. I shoot more of them with my arrows. That's our area cleared. I see three blurs of light speed past me. I look around.

Allie's POV

They are just as fast as I am! Mary heals an injured soldier. I look around for Ryan. He's right beside me. I smile at him. He smiles back. We go fight them. Ryan whirls through them. I giggle. Mary screams. I look towards Mary. A guy has a knife to her throat. I throw my axe at the guy, hitting him.
"Th—Thanks."
"No problem."
She gets up. Scar rips up the last of this area. I smile. She smiles back weakly. Next area...I sigh. This is the last area we need to sweep... Ryan goes back into his spinning based attack. I fight with my axes. Mary rushes around healing the wounded. I sigh. Suddenly something hits Ryan in the face. I look at Ryan. He falls. It's a knife! No! I look down. Mary runs over and heals him. I go back to fighting. I hear a gasp. I look around. Mary is standing there with an angered expression. She screams, "how could you?"
"What?"
She takes the knife and lunges at one of them thoroughly pissed off. I sigh. I try to help her. She is knocked onto me.
"You... you monster," she growls getting up. I get up too.
"Who is he?" Ryan asks.
"That bastard is my fucking asshole father."
I nod. She lunges at him again only this time ending up in a chokehold. I throw my axe at him, hitting him. She then turns and stabs him even though he's already dead. I sigh. Man, she must really hate him...He must be really terrible... she finally stops and shakes. I look down. I see Scar at my feet. I pet him. Ryan chuckles softly then stabs a guy. I giggle. He kisses me. I smile. He smiles back.
"We have a few more to go."
I nod. We finish up.

Merlin's POV

We charge into the main stronghold. I look around. I see her big yellow eyes and reddish hair. Sarin. Her hair is a mess but I'm so glad she's okay! But where did she get that plushy? She runs over to me. I hug her. She hugs back, yelling, "daddy!"
Frost smiles. I giggle. Emmanuel suddenly throws his shield in front of us. Something hits it. I giggle. Emmanuel suddenly throws his shield in front of us. Something hits it. I look around. The demon king... Emmanuel grabs his shield. I look down. Frost lunges at the demon king as they take him on together. She deals a final blow. She opens a strange book.
"In this book let me deal let me seal you away!"
The demon king grabs her. Her eyes go wide
"If I'm going down... you'll go down with me!"
Emmanuel tries to angrily him off Frost. A mark appears on her leg. The demon king falls asleep then disappears. Emmanuel starts to cry.
"N—no! Please Frost! This can't be happening! You can't leave me! I can't do this without you!"
She takes off the band and puts it in his hands.
"I know you'll take care of them," she says weakly but accepting her fate.
"No! Please I'll do anything don't go!"
She almost falls asleep. He screams, "no!"
She wakes up.
"Bro... you know I can't last forever."
I start crying.
"I love both of you, so much," she says tiredly.
"No! No! No! Please! Please, I'll do anything! Please! Just stay!"
I continue crying.
"Please don't cry," she says. Emmanuel starts crying.
"Please! Please! Please!" He cries desperately. She gives us both a kiss and a last smile before she falls asleep, then disappears. The book shuts. I continue crying. Emmanuel opens the book, gently. He forces himself not to cry as he flips through the pages. He gets to one then just starts sobbing. I look down.
"Frost... why?"

Alice's POV

Drew smiles and turns to me.
"Will you marry me?"
"Already?"
"If you're not ready, it's fine."
"Well, I mean, we haven't been together for that long."
"I know but I can't imagine spending my life with anyone else."
"Awwww that's so sweet!"
"So?"
"Okay, I'll marry you!"
Daniella walks over to us tears streaming down her face.
"We won," she says fighting them back. These don't seem to be tears of joy.
"Why are you crying?'
"But for this win, now Queen Frost is gone..."
Mordor and Cameron both look over wide eyed pained faces. I look down. She leaves probably to tell the others.

Allie's POV

Daniella walks over to us, trying her hardest not to cry. "What's wrong?"
"We lost Queen Frostine."
"Queen Frosty?" Mary asks quietly. Daniella nods. She collapses into a ball, sobbing. I start crying. Ryan forces his own back to try to comfort us. I cry into his chest.

Mariah's POV

Daniella walks over. She doesn't look anyone in the eyes.
"What's wrong?"
She goes to speak but just starts crying. Morgana hugs her gently.
"Why are you crying?"
"Qu—Queen Frostine... she's gone... she got caught in her own seal."
I cry into Alex's chest. Morgana rocks Daniella back and forth to calm her.
