Chapter seven: Paladial Stranger

"So? Do you wanna ask anything?" Daniella asks.
"No."
She nods softly.
"So you do you know why we need to head towards the palace?"
"No."
"Do you want to know?"
I nod.
"That would be a question... anyways... inside the palace is the queen... of course but she is a powerful spell caster."
Is this the wizard?
"Is this the wizard?"
"Hm?" She asks turning.
"The wizard?"
"I'm assuming this is the label given by others. If it helps to think of her as such then yes."
I nod. She smiles then turns to go back walking.
"Her favored guardian, Paladin Emmanuel, is a powerful warrior with, from what I've seen, almost unlimited strength when they are together but even apart they are a force to be reckoned with."
I nod. She goes quiet. I sigh.
"Any more questions?"
"No."
"Okay I guess..."
I sigh. We then go back to walking in silence. I look around. Nothing much. It really is an icy plain...I sigh.
"Who is the queen?"
"A seventeen year old named Queen Frostine Noel Lumikiki Adina. She sometimes goes by Queen Frost."
I nod.
"Anymore questions?"
I shake my head no.
"How old is the paladin?" Mary asks quietly.
"Eighteen."
I nod.
"How large is the kingdom?"
"It is large but I have heard of bigger."
I nod.
"Does she have a favorite activity?"
"Yes she loves to wander, train her power, and garden."
"Why is the Paladin most favorited by the queen?"
"I'm unsure of that but I believe that she saved him at one point."
I nod.
"Who is the paladin?"
"The group as a whole or the one she favors?"
"The one she favors."
"Paladin Emmanuel as I just said."
I nod.
"He also has pledged to the god, Rexit."
I nod.
"What does the Paladin look like?"
"Brown hair light blue eyes. He tends to wear cloaks or jackets over his armor."
I nod.
"He also wears a gold circlet bestowed by the queen to him."
I nod. "What does the queen look like?"
"Cream blonde hair blue eyes very pale skin."
I nod.
"Anymore questions?"
"No."
"What kind of clothes does she wear?"
"She wears dresses and when she is going out into the kingdom she wears a cloak."
I nod.
"Does she wear a crown?"
"No a little hair pull that has the kingdoms emblem on it."
I nod.
"What is the Paladin's personality?"
"Stern but forgiving."
I nod.
"What is the Queen's personality?"
"Depends."
"What do you mean?"
"Well is it an enemy or an ally who she'd be dealing with?"
"Well what's her personality when she's dealing with an enemy?"
"Cold sometimes to the point of sadistic levels."
"Oh what about when she's dealing with an ally?"
"The direct opposite kind, gentle, loving, will shelter with her life, if necessary."
I nod.
"What does she fight with?"
"Anything and everything she can get her hands on."
"Is she good at fighting?"
"Good is an understatement. Huh?"
We see a group of fire mages attacking a small village. I see people literally melting. Oh my god! Daniella runs to help followed by Mary. I follow too. They leap into help the poor villagers. I see three going after a small girl. I pull out my staff and use poison spray. All but one gets hit by it. He does a fireball. I sigh. It doesn't hit me. How does it not hit me? Wait a minute! The girl! Did it hit her instead? I don't know I'm turned away from her. I turn to her. The only reason was because Mary took the hit and her arm is on fire! I can't heal... I've gotta deal with this first so she doesn't take more damage! I turn back towards him and I use my poison spray on him.
"What a wasted move!" He laughs. It's not doing anything! He then adds especially since I'm immune to poison!"
Maybe I should use my firestorm instead? He's made of fire... I think... maybe I should use my daggers. I use my daggers. He pulls out a sword but I jab his stomach before he can hit me. That's all of them down... Mary whimpers softly. I sigh. She pulls a potion from her bag. I look away. She manages to drink it. I realize I have a small gash on my arm. It's not bad. I sigh. Mary heals the little girl and some of the injured people. I smile. We hear a weak wince. I look towards it. A boy trapped under a collapsed roof catches my glance I have potions all I have to do is get it off him!! Maybe I should go help him? I try to get it off him. I can't do it! Suddenly the pillar and me with it is lifted up. I look around. I see a guy with a gold circlet holding the pillar. A girl in a cloak dashes and pulls the boy out. A blue magic emerges from her hands. The wounds and burns disappear. I sigh. Oh shit, I'm losing my grip! I'm gonna fall! And I do... onto poor Mary.
"Oww," she cries weakly.
"Sorry!"
"It's fine, can you get off me, please?"
I get off her.
Daniella looks around. I sigh. The guy looks over.
"Daniella?"
"Paladin Emmanuel."
"It has been a long time..."
This seems awkward...
"This is where I tried to kiss you," she says softly.
"Let's not talk about that..."
They dated?
"You helped save the village."
"With their help," she says pointing to us. I nod. He nods.
"I must get back to the palace now."
Wait where'd the cloaked girl go? I guess she left...
"I am Alice by the way."
He doesn't answer. It wasn't enough to make him stay. I sigh.
"I guess mission accomplished... you met him..."
I nod. We head back.
"Well how'd it go?" Mordor asks cutely.
"It went well."
Daniella stumbles upstairs. I sigh. Maybe I should go sit with her for a bit. I go sit with her. She's crying!
"What's wrong?"
"It's...nothing!"
"But something is wrong you're crying!"
"No."
I guess she left...
"I am Alice by the way."
He doesn't answer. It wasn't enough to make him stay. I sigh.
"I guess mission accomplished... you met him..."
I nod. We head back.
"Well how'd it go?" Mordor asks cutely.
"It went well."
Daniella stumbles upstairs. I sigh. Maybe I should go sit with her for a bit. I go sit with her. She's crying!
"What's wrong?"
"It's...nothing!"
"But something is wrong you're crying!"
"No."
"Then why are you crying?"
"It's nothing..."
"Okay then."
She looks down.
"What?"
"I'm just tired..."
I nod.

The next morning.

"We need to get everyone down there now..."
I nod. We all start heading out. We make it back to the kingdom. What's that? I look at it.
"The spring festival... she officiates it."
I nod. Why is Topex's smile bigger? Maybe he just likes it...
"Let's go!"
I nod. She buys us tickets in by using a pass. We go in. Wow! It's amazing! No wonder he likes it! A small girl slips past quickly. Wait a sec— she's gone never mind, I guess I won't be able to confirm it's her. I sigh. I turn again. Creamy blonde hair. Who is that? Could that be her? I think it is! She turns her blue eyes locking on mine. I look away. When I look back she's gone but not into a crowd as the crowd had pushed past... how'd she disappear like that?
