Being immersed in the world of Jean Basquiat felt like a dream, especially with him by my side. Since we shared a strong love for art, he crafted the idea as a chance to enhance the precious time in which we spent together. We admired all the pieces and walked hand & hand throughout the exhibit until I found the perfect spot for my photo-op.
After he snapped my picture, I walked toward him and grabbed my phone to view the shot. "I swear you know my angles so well." I complimented.
Jay let out a small laugh, "I know a bit more than that but now isn't the time to show you."
I popped my head up and smirked at the flirtatious grin on his face. As much as we tried to deny it, our need to please each physically was growing more each day; I honestly didn't know how much longer I could hold out.
"You're so slick!" I mumbled under my breath as we continued on. We locked hands right away and pointed out certain paintings/pieces we would like to have in our own home someday. When the exhibit came to its conclusion, Jay and I traveled back to his car then drove toward our next stop for the evening. From the busy city streets, I could see the sunset so beautifully. He had smooth R&B playing throughout the car and right away my favorite song by Snoh came on. I couldn't help but sing along and out the corner of my eye saw Jay glancing my way.
"This your jam?" He said with a light chuckle.
"Absolutely. Only because it explains how I'm feeling about you, about us.."
Gently, he slid his hand across my thigh and gripped it tight while his other hand stayed put on the steering wheel; once we made it to a stop light, he reached over and pecked my lips. "I want you around all the time, too." He mentioned once the song came to a end, placing a smile on my face. After a few more minutes on the road we arrived to the famous comfort food spot, Sylvia's. The line was a bit long once we made it to door but Jay gave his name for the reservation and we were sat right away.
"Oo I can't wait to dig in!" I exclaimed once we sat at our table; the waiter bought us some complimentary ice water with lemon and our menus.
"Shit, me too. I've been hearing about this place from all my boys." Jay voiced.
"How are they doing by the way? Are you still setting up the bistro?"
"I am. We finally secured the place and are now just working with an interior designer to make the place pop."
"Well I'm proud of you, bae! I know the place is going to do good, especially with the surrounding area of Madison Square."
"For sure, plus you can bring your doctor crew with you." Before I could respond, the waiter came back to take our orders; we both decided to try a few dishes on the menu and share the servings.
