Sunna's POV.
Out of the blue, a pain ripped through my chest. It felt foreign, yet also familiar. I realized that it was my old pack since I was still connected to that pack. My breath hitched as I found out that my uncle had just been killed. Tarkik read my mind and his ear pointed straight in concern. I let out a growl before shifting, despite the large amounts of pain it caused, and racing out of the building with my mate following behind me. Yet I was too late to the scene and another pain pierced me as my aunt was also killed.
My paws dragged across the ground as I growled at my pain and guilt. Wait, Chase! He would probably kill himself in the process of trying to avenge his parents. With newfound purpose, I sprinted to Chase's aid. However his pack much have thought similarly and surrounded him to stop him from doing anything stupid. Chase? Chase! I called out to him in mindlink.
What do you want, Sunna? He remarked with venom lacing his words.
I growled at him as he turned to face me. Hey dipshit, they were my family too! Now before you going killing yourself, can you stop and think for a fucking minute? Your parents wouldn't want you go off and kill yourself! Focus, Chase, and don't be a fucking dumbass! I screamed at him through the mindlink. I don't usually swear a lot, but I guess it's one of those times.
Chase cringed and looked back up at me with sadness. Fight now, talk later? He asked and I could almost see a smile on his face. I smiled sadly and nodded.
Then I noticed how the enemy pack's energy changed, they started to attack us with more intensity and determination. Tarkik and I glanced at each other. What did that mean? My eyes looked across the battlefield until they landed on a massive brown werewolf. Their alpha. "He wants to finish this," I noted when I noticed how the evil alpha was making a path towards my old alpha.
Chase, no matter what, you have to make sure your pack keeps fighting. I mind linked to Chase. He too noticed what was happening.
Sunna, I... I can't be Alpha. Chase started to panic.
Chase, this isn't about you. This is about your pack. If you start to retreat your pack will be picked off one by one. They would not just let you go. I explained to the, now, young gamma. Chase looked back at me and nodded before continuing to fight.
"Come on!" I tried to get as close as I could to the two alphas that had begun to fight. Tarkik and I fought our way through the werewolves. The evil alpha had lured Alpha Blake into a trap. Alpha Blake was now surrounded by enemy werewolves as he faced off his enemy alpha. The alphas fought for dominance over each other. It was obvious Alpha Blake was faster and more skilled, yet the enemy alpha had more power on his side, so everyone of his hits were large blows to Alpha Blake.
Tarkik suddenly slowed down and looked towards our pack. I followed his gaze to our beta who was facing off with a large light brown werewolf, seemingly their gamma from the size. Then I noticed how Ram was also surrounded by enemy werewolves, similarly to how my old alpha was trapped. This is how they want to kill the leaders.
I growled to myself, gaining Tarkik's attention. "Go! Go help him! I'll be fine, but go now!" I yelled at him. He nodded, trusting me to stay safe, before sprinting back the way we came and running to Ram's aid.
Alpha Blake was slightly dominating over the evil alpha and it was obvious the brown werewolf was growing frustrated. I was so close to reaching my old alpha. As I led the attack, my old pack seemed to swarm behind me, helping me push forward towards their trapped alpha. They, too, understood the desperate situation their alpha was in.
