Sky's POV.

I watched as Siqiniq walked back into my pack's forest. She put the clothes down and gave full control to me.

I pushed my mind forward from the back of my mind and forced myself to shift. The familiar crack of bones and tear of muscles was welcome and the process was quick and easy.

My hands helped push me off the ground and I put on my clothes quickly. Goosebumps crawled up my arms as I realized how cold it was getting. Winter is soon to come, along with the first snow...

Night was about to fall and the sun started to create a rainbow of colors across the sky. It was beautiful. I took a deep breath. Damp bark filled my nostrils. That was usually the scent of a werewolf of my pack. Every pack has a certain scent related to the pack. It helps to identify which pack a werewolf is a part of.

Except for mates. Mates smell each other differently. Their scents can only be smelled by each other, which usually helps mates to identify each other. That's why I smelled Tarkik as coffee beans and prairie flowers. I love both those scents too.

I walked into town and noticed that it was a little less busy than usual. It's probably because everyone is training for the war that's bound to happen.

I really didn't want the war to happen, but at the same time the Raw Power Pack needs to put in its place. Plus, I know my Alpha is smart and will think of a good strategy to make it a quick victory.

However, I'm pretty worried about the amount of life we might lose. And I'm super worried for my family. They're gammas, so they're going to be in the front line. That means they had a good chance at losing their lives.

I don't know if I'll actually be in the battle because I'm just a weak omega. I want to fight for my pack, but at the same time I don't think I would be much help. I'm not strong enough.

But we could improve that. Siqiniq commented. She wasn't wrong. I could start training and strengthening my muscles.

Yeah, we should definitely try improving my strength. It would help a lot. I replied.

Without realizing it, I had made my way to my room. An audible sigh escaped my lips. A shower would do me good. I tore off my clothes and tossed them on my bed. I grabbed some more comfortable clothes and went to shower.

The hot water seemed to burn my skin, but the pain and heat was welcomed. I washed off all the dirt, leaves, and sticks from my body. My mate's scent was also washed away from my body.

Though I already missed it, I knew that someone would have noticed the scent on me. He had a wolf scent, so I need to be careful. I'll have to get rid of the clothes as well.

I wrapped a towel around me after finishing washing myself and turning off the water. A wave of frustration hit me as I tried brushing through my white hair. It was a maze of tangled knots. After some serious hair ripping, I got all the knots out of my chest length hair. It's not too long, so why was there so many stupid knots?

The comfy clothes were soft and warm. I hugged myself for a few seconds, enjoying the comfort. It's the simple things that seem to relax me the most.

I walked back into my room and noticed Leya had picked up my old clothes and was giving me a puzzled look.

My eyes widened. "Oh! Hey! I didn't realize you were back yet. How was training?" I needed to get those clothes from her.

She took a sniff at them. "Sky... why do these smell like..." she trailed off, but gathered the courage to continue, "like a wolf?"
