Chapter 20

Ariana's POV

Its Friday finally! I've visited Sam every night so far and each day he's getting better and I'm getting even more hopeful and even more happier, my auntie has been really supportive and I have told her everything Sam has said to me and she agrees that hes inspirational.

I grabbed my school bag and skipped downstairs, "good morning sweetie" my auntie greeted me, "hi!" I smiled and gave her a hug before getting an apple from the fruit bowl and eating it.

"Are you going to see Sam later?" She asked and I nodded in response, "I'll see you later then sweetie" she kissed my cheek before leaving for work, she wore a navy blue pencil skirt with a navy blue blazer and a white blouse.

She looked very formal and I loved that about her, she's a good influence on me and she helps me to stay positive, I can't wait for school to end so I can see my little man.

I locked the front door and smiled to myself as I saw Michael and Calum at the end of the driveway, usually Luke is there but I guess he's gone earlier or something.

"Hey!" I greeted them both with a hug and we began walking to school, "Luke went ahead so he could try and flirt with Faye" Michael giggled and I smiled at him.

We entered the school gates and everyone was looking at me. "Why is everyone looking at me?" I sighed and felt slightly insecure, "because you fainted, they are showing sympathy" calum reassured me and I smiled and headed to class with them by my side.

"I have maths first and Ashton's in there" I groaned and they both giggled, "we will see you later have a good class" they hugged me and headed to their maths class, I went inside the classroom and sat down at my desk and pulled it away from Ashton's.

He giggled at me and sat down at the table next to me, "hello" he smiled and put his book on the desk, "p-peyton cheated on me" he sighed and turned his head to me, I bit my lip trying to refrain myself from saying something.

"Please don't ignore me" he sighed and I burst, "she's a bad influence and she got in between us and I hate that stupid cow, do you understand why I hate her?" He smiled at me, "you spoke to me like you used to, you actually spoke to me" he seemed really happy and I smiled.

"I have missed you" he giggled and his hand brushed against mine when I pulled the tables back together, I got a feeling of electricity flood throughout my body.

"I missed you too" I smiled up at him and our eyes met, we didn't disconnect our gaze which made me happier and made me realise how much I have actually missed my best friend.

"You and calum.. Happened" he scratched the back of his neck and I giggled, "yeah, but he's like a brother too me so we broke up" I replied and he smiled, "you kissed.." He mumbled, "yeah Ashton, like couples do.. Like you and Peyton" I smirked and he shook his head.

"Big mistake" he smiled and I smiled back, "I haven't completely forgiven you yet by the way" I added and he nodded. "Yeah, I understand. I wouldn't forgive me either" he sighed and looked upset, "Ash, it doesn't mean that I won't forgive you, I just need more time to forgive you and more reasons" I smiled and he nodded.

The final bell rang and I almost screamed with happiness, I get to see my baby brother! I grabbed my bags and rushed home, endless shouts of my name followed behind me but I focused on getting home so I can go to my brother.

"Ariana" Luke caught up with me, "hi!" I smiled and he giggled, "your running because..?" He laughed, "I'm excited, I'm seeing a friend.." I lied and he nodded and understood, I haven't told the boys yet because I just can't find the words to say it.

"See you later!" I shouted to all 4 boys who waved and shouted bye to me, I smiled and ran inside, closing the door and jogging upstairs. I threw my uniform onto my bed and put a black hoody on and black skinny jeans with black converses, I tied my hair into a ponytail and grabbed my purse, keys and phone and ran out of the house.

I jogged towards the hospital and kept smiling to myself because for once I felt happy and had enough hope in my brother, I knew he was going to pull through.

"Sam lockheart?" I panted and noticed the doctor trying to hide her smile, "I'm sorry sweetie, come with me" she sighed, I wasn't sure whether to take her seriously or not.

I entered the family room and saw Sam standing there with his normal clothes on and he looked perfectly fine, "he's ready to be discharged" the nurse smiled and I thanked her endless times. I hugged Sam and he hugged me back.

I took his small hand in mine and we began to walk home, "thankyou Sammy" I smiled and he giggled, "I wasn't going to give up, I needed to stay with you" he smiled at me and I squeeled.

"Shall we get ice cream?" I asked and he nodded with a big smile smothering his face, we headed in the direction of the mall and went to the ice cream shop and ordered some vanilla ice cream cones for us both.

"Where shall we go now?" I asked him and he took a moment before answering, "home!" He shouted and I giggled and took him back to our house, Luke and Calum were approaching and I mentally cursed.

"Hey Ariana! Where's your friend?" Luke asked, "she had to leave early" I replied, he nodded but looked confused, "Is this Sam?" Calum chuckled and I picked Sam up and he kicked me a few times, "I'm a big boy!" He shouted and I smiled at him.

"Where are you going?" I asked, "to Ashton's" they smiled and I nodded, "have fun" I laughed and they laughed along.

I hugged them both and said goodbye, me and Sam walked home and talked about random things, we got inside and my auntie squeeled and hugged Sam tight.
