DON'T GO LOOKING FOR LOVE 66

August is upstairs and they tell him to keep still and they take the x rays..... As soon as they are done he starts coughing again and again... spitting up more blood.

The nurses get him a basin and the doctors wheel him up to an OR and intubate  him and quickly get him stabilized..... the mass they were seeing was a partially a blood clot that had been caused by the anti seizure meds... which also was giving him the super mood swings...

He is in surgery for 2 hours and in recovery for one.....

Jade is in his room losing her shit quietly..... she had done life or damn near a bid with August and she didn't want it to end like this .... she loved him and there was no way she was going to be able to move on if he didn't....

The doctor appears in the doorway and tells her that she looks like she is going to be a wife for a long time with him getting proper rest and meds..... He was going to be extremely sore and in the hospital for another week or so to make sure there were no infections or set backs...

finally 3 weeks later August is discharged from the hospital.....

The kids and Jades mom have gone to Texas and would be back soon.... so it was just the two of them.... August is weak but healing....he has a nurse coming to check on him at home and multiple doctor visits to make sure nothing is going to the left.

Jade is super attentive and attends to her work when August is sleeping  or in seeing the doctor.

His mom has been coming over too...

One day they are in the house alone and Sheila says Jade you know what?
Jade looks up over her glasses and says what is that?

Sheila you are one strong lady.... no longer a little girl in any aspect....Taking care of your babies and mine. I really couldn't ask for a better wife for my son. I love him and I know I don't act like it all the time but I do.

Jade nods...

Sheila.... you guys make it look easy and perfect and I never had none of that with his daddy or my other kids father.... I was jealous and  i'm sorry....

Jade cannot believe she had lived to see this day.... thank you  she says...

She goes back to typing and says we aren't perfect we just try very hard. Even when we had to let it go for awhile....

Sheila that boy was sick without you....but he needed to grow..

Jade I did too.... I had to learn how to handle being independent of August and learn myself....

Sheila well looks like the both of you did good...

Jade thanks....

August walks in with the nurse and she says Mrs. Alsina can I see you a moment...

Jade walks in the back and the nurse says Well ma'am its been a pleasure working for you and Mr. Alsina.  Mr. Alsina has a clean bill of health.... he is officially no longer the ward of the hospital...

Jade hugs and kisses Aug who blushes.....

Nurse he is still on light duty in the loving dept. but make each other happy...

When the nurse leaves.... Jade comes back in the room and smiles at August.

She lays him down and snuggles up on his chest listening to his heartbeat....

Jade we are so blessed and we've been taking so much for granted....

With that... they begin to plan their next adventure..... traveling and giving back to anyone who needed it...

they spent a month in Haiti doing all kinds of family things and community work as well.

August babe I'm glad we came here....
Jade me too....

they were leaving soon so that August could get another check up with his specialist....

Jade sat in the atrium with her head down in her lap hair falling all over her ears. she was exhausted.... she just wanted to snuggle in bed with August... but there was so much to be done...

August you been mighty quiet on the way home.

Jade babe I'm little sleepy is all....

August I know what you mean... lets just call it an early night.... We can have the kids in bed by 6:45

Jade says sounds good baba

Sure enough 6:45 rolled around and they all are tucked in the lights are off and the doors and windows are locked.

Jade sobs in her sleep.....

August woke her up and sits up and says baby what's wrong?

Jade is disoriented and looks at him and bites her lip.... I don't know
August you were crying in your sleep...

Jade sorry baby go back to sleep I'm okay....

She turns her back to him putting his arm around her and she drifts off quickly  in 30 minutes she is crying again and this time he wakes her up and cuts the lamp on. Jade mama get up..... she opens her eyes and says yes?

August baby you crying again what are you stressing about?

jade shakes her head.... I don't know...
August stay up all night holding her until she drifts back off to sleep... she doesn't do it again and in the morning she is her regular self.... he knows that she can possibly be pregnant because they hadn't done anything in months....

She is her sweet content self all day long.... that night after they had put the kids to bed she sits on the bed and greases Augusts scalp and braids his hair  she kisses him sweetly on the side of the head and grabs his hand....they kneel at the foot of the bed and say their prayers....
kissing so sweetly they pull the covers back in the bed....

she tells August she'll be right back....

For a week straight she does this.... he always finds her in the room with the kids or with her mom. the last night he found her sitting at the dining table writing she quickly closed the journal and follows him to bed..... she initiates some intimacy but nothing too elaborate....

She watches August breathe deeply in the afterglow
She is out of the bed when he wakes up the next morning smiling like he won the lottery... he goes around the house looking for her and finally finds her sitting in the kids room writing in that journal.... when he sees her see him she slams it shut and runs over to him and kisses him and then walks off again....

August follows her to the second floor on the terrace and wraps his arm around her....

Jade turns and kisses him....I love you August
August love you too but you scaring me....
Jade no need to be scared baba, you got it under control she walks off and goes in the bedroom.... changing her clothes she tells him she'll be back shortly.....

jade goes and checks on everything and then smiles graciously. She is on her way back home and everything goes black......
