"Father, this is madness!" I spat. "What's madness is that you do not know your place child." He yelled. "Father I am not a child, anymore." The room echoed with his taunting laugh. "Your right, you're a fool." I glared at the King, he was not my father when he sat on that throne. "You will stop all visits to the towns." I gritted my teeth. "You can't do this." He sat up, meeting eye to eye. "And why is that, child." I held in my composure. "Because I am all they have to call hope."  He scoffed, "Giving out the palace's food and using our physicians to heal them, will not give them hope, you must think I'm a fool if I haven't noticed the things you have been doing behind my back." I gritted. "I wouldn't have to be giving out food if you would have done your job in the first place!" A slap echoed through the palace. The guards and servants who stood in place watching, tensed up.

Most of my hair covered the side of my face, I lightly ran my fingers over the bruise that would soon be visible. I laughed. Looking straight at father. "You can't stop me." He scowled. "Watch me. Guards! Take her to the dungeon." My eyes widened, "You can't be serious?!" He glared. "Learn to obey your king, and there will be no consequences, fail to do so, and you'll spend the rest of your life in that dungeon." The guards advanced neared me. "Don't touch me." I spat. "I know the way." I walked the halls of the palace with a group of guards close behind. I do not regret my decisions, If father, refused to help our people.

I will do it myself.

The guard opened the cell. I looked at all the men who stood behind me. They wore helmets all of them, making it impossible to see there faces. A night, was never to show there face, only if ordered by the king. They were not allowed to speak either, only royalty could order them to do so. I entered the cell, sitting, myself down on the ground covered in dirt and dead grass. The dress I wore was sure to get ruined in this pitful environment. But that was the least of my worries, I had, dresses, many of them, everything I wanted actually. But what good was having all these riches, if by the end of the day I could not help the people who raised me.

"Princess what are you doing here, a little lady like you shouldn't be playing in a place like this." The little girl smiled at the old man while holding onto a chicken. "Why not, I like it here. It's more fun than that boring palace." The old man sighed surrendering to the young princess, he knew what a stubborn child she was. "Well then if you're going to play here, join us for dinner." The little girls, eyes widened. "Yay! Miss Randy makes the tastiest food." The old man laughed, agreeing with the little girl. The young princess was an expert at sneaking out of the palace,  everyone was so busy they fault to notice that the princess of the kingdom, had escaped her chambers.

The little girl sat with the old couple eating and talking, but mostly laughing, she had the most fun, in the towns mingling with all the townspeople. Hours had passed by and the young princess still remained inside the small home. Horses were heard outside, surprising the old couple, "It's the Queen." The old man yelled both couples hurried to open the door. The little girl, washed her bowl knowing playtime was over.

"Ma-lady," Bowed the couple, the queen laughed, "Oh please, Fineas, Margot, your practically family, we've known each other for decades now, there's no need for so many formalities." They laughed, welcoming the queen into there home. The little girl quickly grabbed a tiny rose from her pocket, "My queen." Said the little girl, bowing down while offering a rose. The mother smiled, "Don't think that every time you sneak out you will be able to bribe me, my child." The little girl rose her head, up sheepishly smiling. The adults chatted while the little girl once again managed to sneak out, she walked down the town looking for something interesting.

"I wonder if- oww!" The young princess clashed into a boy her age. "Are you blind! Do you not see where your walking stupid." The young princess gasped at the boy's vocabulary. "How dare you say something so mean! Who do you think you are, dirt boy?!" His eyes widened. "Who are you calling dirt boy, do you wanna fight!" The young princess, as her father had to much pride to turn down a fight. She pulled her sleeves up. "Let's do it, whoever loses will be servent to the winner for life." And so the fought began.

It started with hair pulling, then it quickly escalated to pinching. "Princess! You insulant boy stop this right now-." The queen stopped the old man. "No, this is a child qual, one should not get involved." The old man's eyes widened, hearing his majesties words. The queen and the old man headed back home while the kids continued they're fight. "Haha, I win. You lose." The young princess, was on the ground while the boy sat on her to keep her from moving. The little girl sighed. "Very well, you win fair and square." Both sat up dusting themselves off. "Since I have lost, I will be serving you, what do I call you." The boy stood tall with pride.

"Call me, Captain."

I sighed, at least I choose to get thrown into the dungeon this late at night.

I'll just sleep through it.

I looked around the dirty cell.
