"He was my first friend."

***

He smiled. "I believe you."

"NO!"

He was pushed off the palace cliff. As if he was just some doll. As if his life was replaceable. I fought, I yelled, I cried. "I hate you! I wish mom would have taken me with her. Then I wouldn't have to suffer with you."

I cried.

I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.

***

I looked into the bandit's eyes, "And I failed him." His eyes stayed on my own.

"How."

....

"He was killed...because of me." I clasped onto the necklace.

...

The bandit was about to speak when the ship, made a sudden turn. I quickly secured myself onto the table. The bandit looked out the window. "What an unpleasant surprise." He spat, under his breath. I looked out the window, "Is that..." He nodded, "Princesses we got our selves some guest." It was a pirate ship, and the pirates inside didn't seem very friendly. "Have you ever used a sword." I nodded, "Good, come with me." He grabbed ahold of my hand, dragging me down under the ship, where most of the supplies seem to be.

We made our way into a room, full of weapons. He pulled out a sword. "I'm not expecting you to fight, but just in case you need it.." I nodded, taking the sword, he pulled out a safety belt, hands up princesses. I placed them over my head letting him put the belt on me. "Bandit."

"Yes, princesses." I looked down at his face, which was only the lower part that was visible. "How do you know where everything is located." He once again froze, it was just a second but it was enough for me to notice. "We should get going." He avoided the question leading me outside, "Stay close to me, okay, if that's not possible stay close to any of the pirates on the ship, they will protect you as well." I grabbed his arm. "Why are you so sure that they will risk, there lives for my own, they have no reason to do so." He grinned. "Princesses, you're a young girl, with a cute face, anyone would want to protect you." How does he do this? I looked away, feeling my face get flustered. "You-."  He pulled me aside, "Shhh." There where multiple footsteps coming down, the stairs. The bandit signaled to me. I nodded going to the opposite side.

In less than a second, the enemy pirates entered. They looked my way, grinning. "Well, what do we have here." The old man licked his lips. "Disgusting." Gagged the bandit. The pirate's eyes widened. "Who's there." The bandit laughed. "Calm down grumpy, don't get so angry." He taunted using a baby voice. I gulped, was he trying to anger them. "Don't play games with me, or I'll kill the girl!" Yelled the old man pointing a sword my way. "Don't get so upset gramps, I was only messing around." The bandit finally came out of the shadows, with his hands up. He had a faint grin on his face. Don't tell me he was going to fight without a weapon. Was he insane!

"Get him." The pirates around him nodded. "I want his head." I slowly backed away. "Not so fast little lady, you're coming with me." The bandit chuckled, "You're too old for her, gramps, you have no chance." He ducked punching a pirate in the face along with the others. My mouth dropped, "I, on the other hand, am a compatible candidate." He dusted himself off stepping on the pirates that were on the ground. "Now do me a favor-" A shadow cast over his eyes. "And step away from my lady." Both the old man and I stood there in shock. Both red, one from anger, and the other from embarrassment.

The old man pointed his sword towards the bandit, the bandit just walked towards the swords, letting his chest touch the pointer. If my jaw wasn't already open. Either he was an idiot, or he was just plain mad. "Do you have a death wish boy." The bandit grinned. "An if I do, scum, what's it to you." Before the old man could react the bandit had managed to knock the sword out of his hands, punching him in the square in the jaw. The old man fell straight to the ground.

"Princesses remember when I said to forget about the kiss." I slowly nodded, I gasped feeling him pull me close to him. He grabbed my chin lightly grazing my lips with his thumb. "Then you also remember when I said that the kiss didn't mean anything, that it was just an accident." I nodded. He looked down at my lips. "I lied." I took a deep breath. "W-what." He quickly kissed the side of my cheek, "Let's go, we'll discuss this later."
