Another year passed by. Chaeyoung fulfilled her dream of travelling around the world. she have been all around Europe, in America and a quick visit to Australia.
She met a couple of friends on the way, too.
"Are you sure its okay to come back?" Yeri asked. Chaeyoung thought of it. Maybe a year of wondering around is enough. its time to come back to her roots.
"Yeri, Im going home." with a slight smile on her face.
-
"Lis, come here" Bambam was excited to show her his work. "what do you think?"
"Its.. okay" Bambam looked at her disapprovingly. "what??" Lisa asked.
"i worked hard for this and i know your 'okay' means its bad""No, no. Its not bad its.. okay" Bambam tutted. "so its worse than that then?"
"look at it bambam, its-" a sudden ring from Bambam's phone stopped Lisa.
"hello?" Bambam looked at Lisa and she just shrugged.
"oh." Bambam's tensed shoulder dropped and she looked at the girl again.
Lisa felt a bit weird but she didn't mind.
"wait here a minute, I'll take this call outside" Bambam said to Lisa as he open the door and leave.
"Are you sure its Chaeyoung? is she really back?" He looked back at Lisa from the window of his office.
"when?"
"Should i tell her?"
"No?"
"okay. i'll see you around"
Lisa opened the door and looked at Bambam.
"who was it?" she asked. "Its someone"
"Someone, who?"
He sigh.
"Its better if you go home and see"
Lisa looked at him curious as ever but she felt like this thing could be exciting. it could be a surprise.
She got home and something is bothering her. its like something or someone just came back but she wasn't sure what or who. its just a strange feeling and since she has felt many different feeling before, she shrugged this one off.
Its not like Chaeyoung came back but if she ever did comeback, she wouldn't be back for Lisa–and that, she knows.
Lisa sat down in her couch thinking of things that she regrets. Her business was still on top of their game but she wasn't. she was the complete opposite of top. she was at the bottom. she lost everything and by everything, she meant Chaeyoung.
She felt tears falling down her cheeks and she quickly wiped it off. This is right. This is my punishment. The guilt.
She thought to herself.
She gathered some strength to stand up and play a music she and Chaeyoung once enjoyed together. She again sat down and looked at the ceiling like it was Chaeyoung.
Memories of them played in her mind. It didnt hurt her. For all she know is she betrayed her. her own feelings.
It started raining and as soon as it did. tears fell down like a rain.
-
Chaeyoung was walking in the street she was lastly crying. she looked around and she was right, nothing changed. she smiled and when the first rain drop fell, she was there to catch it.
luckily, she brought an umbrella with her.
She enjoyed walking down the street until she saw the house she felt the most pain.
The house was still beautiful as she chose it herself, for them. The view it'll get from the city, the pretty garden. silly her, she even remembered planting a sycamore tree because she once read a book about it.
she smiled remembering all those memories.
One time in summer, she even convinced herself that she will decorate herself the house but it was too hot to do so she ended up just buying ice cream instead of paints.
She stood in front of the house, smiling.
When she thought of those memories, she noticed.
Lisa wasn't there. Lisa isnt always there.
She went living in their house all alone.
And Chaeyoung realized that at the moment. Was it really worth coming back? or was coming back another pain for herself?
She was going to enter the house but then she heard a music faintly playing. It was one of her favorite.
Then she knew, this time, Lisa was home.
