The next morning, you find yourself surrounded by your friends as your Shingen-Ryu master rambles on about all of the stories you've told her. Kurapika sits next to you in your bed, while Jaya sits in the recliner next to the bed. Gon, Killua, and Alluka sit on the windowsill, while Leorio and Izunavi lean against the wall. Bennett sits at the end of your bed, much to Kurapika's chagrin.

"Yes, she talked about you the most. She's told me all sorts of things," Jaya lets out a quiet chuckle, causing you to give her a death glare, which she is oblivious to, "What's wrong, (Y/N)?"

Kurapika's gray orbs on you causes you to feel embarrassed, so you avoid his gaze, "N-nothing. You're just talking a lot."

"Oh, my bad, I hadn't realized." She leans over to whisper to you, "Is it because of your crush on-"

You cut her off quickly, your cheeks flushed red, "No!" Kurapika perks up an eyebrow at you, prompting you to compose yourself,  "No, we don't need to talk about that," You nonchalantly try to change the subject, "Um.. What kind of people did I tell you about?"

"Well, firstly, Kurapika," She gestures to him, before counting on her fingers as she talks, "Zoe and Lynn. And Maximus. You mentioned him a lot."

You close your eyes and bow your head, finding a moment of silence necessary, "May he rest in peace." Kurapika gently strokes your hand to comfort you.

"You've talked about Bennett," He seems surprised at the mention of his name, "Basically everyone in this room. You told me about a mercenary named Shadow, someone named Hisoka. I believe you also mentioned an assassin named Illumi."

"My brother?" Killua's eyes widen, "What about Illumi?"

Jaya looks towards you, wondering, "Do you remember anything about Illumi?" But you shake your head 'no' in response.

"Maybe she mentioned him because of the hunter exam," Leorio mentions, shrugging casually, "I'm sure it's nothing serious."

"I doubt that he could be involved in (Y/N)'s injury," Kurapika adds onto Leorio's thought.

Killua stands now, and approaches you at the bed, "I don't think he attacked (Y/N). But I don't think she would have mentioned him if she only saw him at the hunter exam. They never interacted during it, or at least from what I saw."

"Tell me more about Illumi," You urge him, your mind scrambling to remember this man, "I'm sure if I know more about him, it will help."

Kurapika sets both hands on both of your shoulders, loosely holding you, "You shouldn't strain yourself, (Y/N)."

"No, it's okay," You observe Killua's face, noting the serious look in his eyes, "If Killua is concerned, we should trust his judgement."

The Kurta boy nods his head, "Understood. Don't push yourself."

You motion for Killua to describe his brother to you. "Thanks, (Y/N). He has long black hair, and he's about 185 centimeters tall. He's a manipulator and he fights with needles.." He continues to describe him, helping you to recall your run-in with the assassin.

"..Do you know the way into the city?" You've stopped at a merchants cart on the side of a dirt trail, "I think I'm lost.." You look at your map, unable to distinguish where you even are now.

The older woman crosses her arms, an unpleasant look on her face, "If you buy something, I'll tell you."

You sigh, but pick out a few snacks and a can of soda. After you hand her the money, she points down the trail, "All the way at the end of the road, then hang a left and the city will be just up ahead."
