"(Y/N), spend the day with me!!"

Your head whips around in surprise to see Bennett with a cheerful look on his face. You had been sitting on the couch reading a book that Kurapika recommended, and didn't even hear your brother sneak into the living room.

"I must have forgot to lock the door," You say aloud to yourself, your gaze drifting towards the door, before Bennett pulls your attention back to him.

"Don't worry so much, (Y/N). I'm sure the attacker has given up by now," He starts, jumping over the back of the couch, and landing on his knees next to you, "You probably don't even need to stay with Kurapika anymore." His smile falls, when he notices the gloomy look on his face, "I'm sorry, (Y/N). I wasn't trying to make you upset.."

You shake your head, brushing off your sadness, "I'm fine, Bennett. No need to apologize."

"I'm sure Kurapika doesn't want you to leave!" He exclaims, trying to reassure you, "I mean, I'm sure that he'd be lonely without you here."

"You think so?" You wonder, watching him with a hopeful expression.

Bennett fervently nods his head at this, "I'm sure of it!" He tries to nonchalantly change the subject, "A-anyways, I didn't come over to upset you!! I want to take you out to lunch!"

"Really?" Your frown finally changes into a smile, "You don't have to do that for me."

"Yes, I do. I bet we still have a lot of stuff to catch up on," He says with a smile on his face. His smile falters, however, when he says, "We were apart for so long."

You're quick to try and cheer him up, "Well, we're together now, right? We can just make up for it now."

"You'll go with me?"

"Of course. What kind of place do you have in mind?" You ask him, but he's already standing up, and heading towards the door.

He turns around to wink at you, "It's a secret!!"

You throw on your jacket, and follow him out the door. He leads you outside to his car, and helps you into the passenger seat. After about fifteen minutes of driving, and blasting music over the radio, you finally arrive at your destination. The building is a small cafe with fairy lights hanging off of the awning. You follow him inside, and are quickly seated and offered some drinks. They bring each of you menu's, and you start to look through each page.

"What do you think?" Bennett asks you, causing you to set down the menu and look up at him.

You glance around the cafe, before your eyes fall back onto him, "It looks really nice. Do you come here often?"

He nods in confirmation, "I work nearby! I always come here for lunch." He looks down for a second, before looking back up at you with a sheepish smile on his face, "I've been thinking about bringing you here for awhile, but I had to wait until Kurapika forgave me."

"He forgave you awhile ago, didn't he?"

Bennett hesitantly nods, explaining, "He did, but I could tell he was still upset at me."

"He doesn't hold anything against you," You say in defense of Kurapika, "He's just very cautious."

"I know he is," Bennett starts, "That's why I trust him. He took good care of you while you were in the hospital. He's still protecting you, even now."
