REDSAID ON HIATUS

The group have decided to take time off from their lavish idol life and disappear for 6 months.

"They make it sound so malicious..." Jun said after folding the magazine up and dropping it to the table.

"At least our fans are happy that we are taking time to rest. We've been overworking lately, we haven't had any time for ourselves or solo projects." Jen said, swapping caps in the mirror. Jun nodded after Jen signalled at the cap she was wearing.

There was no malice about it; the group had quite literally exhausted themselves and desperately needed rest. They had just returned from a 6 month long tour, released 2 albums in the last year and attended events and promotions every day. Korea can be a tough country to debut in and the idol industry can be a tough industry to stay in. The group rose to fame back in 2014 and everybody knew their names; billboards with their faces around every corner, not even able to go shopping without crowds lining up outdoors, just like they were now.

"What are you gonna do? You gonna go home?" Jun asked.

"Definitely, I need time to breathe. Don't blame me, I love my life, I love you guys and I love our fans. But I need time to relax and do what I want to do, y'know. We all do. For the sake of our mental health." Jen tossed another cap aside and browsed for a new one.

"You always said you would take us over to Scotland."

"I mean we're off for half a year, why don't you come over? The only thing is the journey is so long, like 15 hours? Plus, I wouldn't be going over for very long, my family did the big move to Thailand years ago before we even debuted." Jen was born and partly raised in Scotland, grew up in Thailand and then moved over to Korea to debut with the group. Born to a white mother and Korean father, her dad was given a work opportunity in Thailand and the whole family up and left.

"Ok, what do you think?" Jisoo stepped out from the changing room, flaunting a long but revealing dress covered in silver diamonds with a bag to match. Jun winced falling back onto the chair, clutching his eyes, being his usual over dramatic self.

"Wow, just wow..." Jen said enthusiastically, she joined Jun on the long chair who was still covering his eyes; Jen smacked his head.

"OW!" Jun exclaimed.

"Be nice to her so we can leave..." Jen whispered. Jun stood from the chair and paraded over to Jisoo.

"I have never seen a more stunning dress, honestly, if you don't buy it, I will." Jisoo smacked his head. Jen laughed loudly from behind.

"OW! Why do you two always hit me?"

"Because you're an idiot." Jen and Jisoo spoke together.

"If it's a Gucci outfit you're after, why don't you keep the clothes they offer us? Then you'll be paid for wearing it rather than paying for it yourself and giving them free promotion." Jen wasn't one for shopping, she never was. She only came with so she could get out of their dorm; they'd been cooped up for days since the news broke. Everyone knew she was the most happy about it. She had really exhausted herself with being the main vocalist and leader of the group.

"I want to at least say there's something in my closet I bought with my own money, Jen. I'm not like you and Sun who take every piece of clothing every brand offer us." Jisoo sauntered back into the changing room.

"She does know that we have a live stream to do later, doesn't she?" Management were forcing them to do a livestream together, to chat with fans and make it abundantly clear that it was the groups decision to take a break. They were fearful of hate from fans, and quite rightfully so.

"Leave her alone, she's stressed out." Jen rose from the seat and back to the caps.

"We all are." Jun stared back at the magazine; their faces plastered on the cover, and most likely every page after, he thought.
