The concert had been going on for around an hour now and they were all still thoroughly enjoying it. Jen and Jomm listened intently to every word and danced along. At some point, Mew and Gulf had diverted their stare to Jen. The way she moved and sang along was clearly a lot more entertaining to them than the show. A man had turned up again and stood by the curtain. He was motioning towards Jen, it was the same guy she was afraid would ask for a photo. Might as well take it this time. She sauntered towards him.

"Paul is asking if you'll go on stage?" Jen stood in shock at his request. On stage? Why would he want her on stage? The man answered the question she hadn't yet uttered. "He wants to sing the song that you wrote." Jen looked back towards Mew and Gulf who stood confused.

"He wants me to go on stage..." Gulf's eyebrows furrowed together.

"You have to!" Jomm screamed amongst the already screaming crowd.

"Should I go?" Management would kill her, she doubted that singing on stage with another band would put her in the good books, she wasn't exactly clear with her new contract. Or old contract, she thought.

"I don't think that's a goo-" Gulf began but was quickly interrupted by Mew.

"Definitely, I'd love to hear you sing!" He beamed at her. Maybe it wasn't such a bad idea, she was desperate to be on stage anyway and she still remembered the lyrics to the song they wrote together. She would rather have been on stage with the group but this would do.

"I'll do it." She agreed with the man waiting eagerly by the curtain and began to follow him out. "I'll come right back I swear!" She later appeared side stage and gave the group a wave. Jen caught Paul's eye and he smiled. The chords to the song started and Paul began to sing. The crowd bounced along to the unfamiliar beat.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome to the stage... Yi Jen..." She walked out clutching a microphone. She had winced before going on stage at her attire. It wasn't the outfit she was used to; jeans, a hoodie and a cap. She felt so casual yet the adrenaline of it all almost sent her over the edge.

She began to sing the words to the song her and Paul wrote 6 years ago, back to the feeling of being a rookie again. The crowd stood in awe of her vocals, sending a shiver up Paul's spine. It had been so long since he'd heard her voice in front of him. The group looked on from the balcony. Mew and his sister smiled down at her, clapping and waving along to encourage her. She looked like she belonged on the stage, she drifted along it and worked the crowd so well. The feeling in Gulf's stomach was back the moment she stood closer to Paul. He had never seen her close to another man other than himself and Mew. But, at that moment, he felt different.

Paul threw an arm around Jen's shoulder after the song had finished and they both took a bow. He pulled her in for a hug earning a whoop from the audience. Paul whispered something into Jen's ear and Jen did the same, laughing. Gulf's stomach shifted, sending heat waves up his throat and to his face. Jen walked off from the stage and back towards the group. Gulf's feeling dissipating only once she was in front of him again.
