Brooke was facing the water eating for Lucas. She had dropped Nicholas off with Haley. She was planning on telling Lucas everything he had asked her.

"The beach huh?" Lucas said coming up to Brooke.

"Do you remember all the memories that we have shared here?" Lucas chuckled.

They sat in the sand, staring at the water "Does he know about me yet?" Lucas asked not looking at Brooke. Brooke looked at him and sighed staring at his eyes and then his lips.

"No. It's just been me and him since day one. My dad helps out while I go to work."

"Was it hard?"

Brooke was confused. "Come on Brooke, we were 17, seniors in high school, you got pregnant and left to go live with your mother you abandoned you when you were little."

"Watch it." She said.

Lucas noticed a necklace on her he pointed to it asking "What's that?"

"Nicholas made it for me, one time when he was with my dad."

"He a good kid?" Lucas asked smiling.

"Yes. He's like his dad."

"Oh I think he's like his mom." Brooke smiled and smirked.

"I need to know Brooke.... do you have somebody?"

"No, I haven't been with anybody since.... I couldn't do that to Nicholas."

Lucas nodded "I want you to know that I never stopped thinking about you, I would have been all in if you stayed."

Brooke stood up, anxiously "Lucas this has been hard for me." She started to walk away.

"I can understand that! But I have a say in this too."

"Don't!" Brooke said pushing Lucas "do not push me!! I have raised my kid on my own, I have put food on the table, gone to work I have done everything for my son so don't try to come in here and be all demanding!"

"Okay." He said touching her arm softly, she turned and sighed. "Maybe I can see him or spend time with him?" He asked.

"I don't think so!" Brooke said walking away.

"Come on Brooke! It could be good for all three of us."

She turned back and looked right in his eyes. She missed those eyes. "Fine. Stop by Haley's tomorrow we can figure something out."

"What does he like to do?"

"He's a kid Luke, take him to a park, feed him get to know him." she smiled.

"You did good with him Brooke."

Brooke said nothing just nodded her head slowly and continued to walk to her car, then she got a call she had hoped it was the realtor.

"Hello?"

"Yes, this is Brooke."

"Yes. Yes maam?"

"Of course!! Thank you!"

Brooke had gotten the house she had always wanted.

Brooke got to Haley's house and saw Haley and the boys in the kitchen
"Hey momma!" Nicholas ran to hug Brooke. She kissed his head and then the boys ran upstairs to play.

"So... how did it go?" Haley asked.

"Well it went. He's coming over to get Nicholas tomorrow." Brooke said leaning back

"Brooke, that's great! They can get to know each other more."

"Yeah."

"Why are we not happy?" Haley said confused

"Well he doesn't know Lucas, I'm just nervous how its gonna go."

"Brooke, don't stress it. Its gonna be just fine." Haley said to her.

Brooke smiled and nodded her head.

She just hoped for the best
