Brooke woke up the next morning and headed to Jamie's room to see the boys sleeping quietly, she smiled at the thought. Lucas was coming to get Nicholas today, and Brooke was much more nervous than either of them, Nicholas didn't even know what was happening today. So when they woke up, Brooke called Nicholas and Jamie down to the kitchen for breakfast, then Jamie had gone to get dressed and Brooke decided to tell Nicholas what he was doing today.

"Hey buddy, how would you like to hang out with some of mommy's old friends?"

"Like who momma?" He asked eating his cereal.

"Just some friends, he is a really nice person and you are gonna have so much fun!"

"Okay! As long as I get some ice cream!"

Brooke laughed and then she heard a knock, "Alright go get dressed, run run run!" She said as he ran up the stairs.

She opened the door and Lucas was there. "You're early." She said walking back to the kitchen.

"Yeah, the more time I have the better." He said sitting at the island, Brooke smiled and continued to clean the dishes.

"Alright momma! I'm all ready!" Brooke and Lucas turned and saw Nicholas at the bottom of the stairs. "Nicholas this is Lucas your---my friend." Lucas looked at her, knowing that wasn't all of the truth.

"Hey, you're Jamie's uncle." He said running to the kitchen.

"Yeah I am." Lucas stood up.

"Alright bud, I will pick you up later, but go have fun with Lucas okay?" Brooke said kissing his head.

They all walked to the door, they opened it and Lucas and Nicholas walked to his car "Bye momma! I love you!" Lucas smiled at Brooke.

"Bye baby!" Brooke said closing the door.

Lucas started to drive and kept looking in the back at Nicholas, he could see the resemblance in him. He was definitely Lucas' son. "So what do you like to do?" Lucas asked him.

"I like playing rock band, and playing basketball, I like mac and cheese."

Lucas laughed "I love all those things."

"My momma says that my daddy likes basketball but I never met him, I don't even know what he looks like but I think he looks like me maybe he has blue eyes or blonde hair like me, hey you have blonde hair!"

Lucas couldn't speak, "Yeah, yeah I do have blonde hair."

"So how do you know my mom anyway?" He asked him.

Lucas wanted to tell him the truth, but he knew he couldn't "I met your mom in high school, she was pretty cool."

"Did you know my daddy?"

Lucas hesitated for a moment, "No, I never met your dad."

"But my mommy said she had me when she was only 17 which means she was still in high school."

"Smart kid." Lucas laughed.

They had finally arrived at Lucas house, where Skills was crashing since he just had a breakup. "Where are we?" Nicholas asked.

"This is my house, I bought some ice cream and some pizza." Lucas said opening his car door.

"Do you have rock band!?" He said excitedly.

"Dude! I have everything!"

"Sweet!"

They went in the house and Skills was watching basketball on the TV.

"Aye Luke!" Skills said standing up.

He was a little confused as to why their was a small kid in their house "Who's this he kinda looks like--"

"Ah Skills, I gotta show you something over here, Nicholas can you just sit on the couch and watch TV?"

"Sure! I love basketball!" Nicholas said sitting on the couch.

Skills laughed, following Lucas into the hallway. "Who's the kid Luke? He looks like Brooke?"

"Its Brooke's kid, she's back."

"So who his dad? He looks a little older, Brooke left four years ago which--" Skills stopped "he's your kid too Luke!"

"Will you keep it down?" Lucas said whispering.

"This is crazy! You got a kid!" Skills said in shock.

"Yeah, it's pretty great." Lucas said smiling.

As their day went on they played so many video games, played basketball, had lots of food and they both had a great time. It was almost 10:00 at night and so Brooke called Lucas asking him to bring Nicholas home. Lucas drove to Haley's house, this was the last night they were staying there before they moved into their new home. Lucas was glad they were staying in Tree Hill.

When they arrived, Nicholas was excited to tell her about his day. Brooke told him to go get changed and then they could talk all about it. "So how was he?" Brooke asked.

"It was great, I think he had fun."

Brooke nodded her head and smiled.

"Have you told him anything about me?" He asked.

"A little bit, why?"

Lucas shrugged.

They talked for a little bit about Nicholas and then Lucas left. Nicholas came down and sat on the couch with Brooke. "So how did it go?"

"It was fun! Lucas is awesome!" He said excitedly. Brooke laughed and kissed his head.

"He's awesome huh?"

"Yeah! He got me ice cream and pizza and cookies!"

Lucas was definitely gonna spoil him. "Momma, how did you meet him?"

"In high school baby." Brooke said.

"Well, didn't you meet my dad in high school?"

Brooke nodded her head, "Lucas said he didn't know who my dad was." Brooke smiled at the thought.

"Alright 20 questions! It's time for bed silly!" Nicholas ran to the stairs and Brooke sat back on the couch.

"Hey momma! Lucas is pretty cool, maybe you should date him!" He said laughing running up the stairs.

"You dork!" Brooke saw that Lucas had texted her "I wanna see him more Brooke, he's a good kid."

Brooke never responded, but she was okay with the thought of Lucas and Nicholas being together. She was glad they would be getting close soon.
