Sixteen

Weeks later•••

The baby was gone, Brooke's cancer was a little better, today she would talk to Julian. She felt like she needed a break from Julian, ever since the baby died she had felt a tensity between them. She felt so sad that the baby was gone, Nicholas was still so far away from her. Today she was working and Julian brought Nicholas to see her.

"Mommy!" Nicholas said running up to her hugging her. Brooke was not expecting Julian or Nicholas.

"Can i help you work!" He asked excitedly. She nodded and he ran to Haley to see what he could do.

"Julian. What are you doing here?"
"I thought it would be okay to bring em i didn't know it would bother you that much." He said confused.

"We need to talk." So they did. Turns out, Julian was feeling the exact same. They felt it was time to take a break to see where they stand. They were both so sad after the baby died. She wasn't sure how she would make it out of this. All she wanted was away from Julian, she knew it wasn't his fault. But the more she thought of it the more she thought the baby was gone because of her cancer.

Julian left her and knew it was right. Brooke went back to working and helped Nicholas. "Momma are you still sad?"

"I am okay Nick." She said smiling softly. "Daddy keeps talking about you, i think he wants to see you." Brooke didn't reply. She looked out of the diner seeing Haley on the phone and then she saw Haley start to cry. "Nick stay here." Brooke said running to Haley.

She grabbed Haley "Hales? What happened?" Brooke said worriedly.

Haley kept sobbing "It's Lucas brooke, he got hit. He's gonna die." Brooke's heart dropped, she was just abt to take Nicholas to see him, and she would talk to him and try working things out. Her heart dropped and she held Haley close.

Brooke grabbed Nicholas and they drove to the hospital. Nicholas wasn't sure what was happening, he just saw his mom crying and it scared him. "Please be okay." Brooke whispered as Haley continued to drive.
