Lost Memories

Chapter 2

Colby's pov 

The day went by just like all the others quite .

I was getting my work out in even tho it was Ten at night I haven't done it at all today so it had to be done .

I was doing push ups when Sarah came in " hi sorry  to bother you but Rose told me to check on her  before I leave " I nod as I get up " totally fine you can check on her " she nods and walks over to Rebecca .

She stops by Rebecca's bed and then just looks at her for a few minutes before she finally speaks " your wife is beautiful  " I just smile looking at her " thank you  " she nods .

I stand by the sink when shes done checking Rebecca " well doesn't look like anything has changed " I nod she goes to walk out but turns around to look at me " theirs no harm in seeing someone you know it's been six months  she may never wake up and I'm sure she would want you to move on and be happy live your life not stay in a hospital room all day and night " and with that she was gone .

I took a shower had my mom bring me food ate my dinner did everything I needed to do and some how what Sarah said was still on my mind . 

I deiceded  that it was time to rest my mind so I lay down and went to sleep .

Sarah      

When I got home I got some hot tea and took a bath thinking about everything .

I only met Colby today but I really like him he's so sweet and deserves  more than to be living in a hospital spending his day's talking to a dead body .

Colby's pov 

I walk through the hospital just like every day I walked in to the room and there she is my beautiful Rebecca  Sitting up in her bed " Colby finally I was waiting for you " I smile as I walk over to her and kissed her " oh Colby I've missed you so much "  I take her hand in mine " me too Rebecca me too " she nods  before a tear falls from her eye "honey what's wrong "  another tear falls down " Colby I'm not really here " I shake my head " what " she grips my hand " Colby wake up " 

I jump up as I look over at Rebecca after I seen that nothing had changed I laid back down .

That dream felt so real .   

Sarah's pov

The Next Morning 

I woke up ready to go to work I took a shower got my coffee and rushed to work .

After I got to work I put my stuff in my locker as Rose walked in " hey good Morning I'm running late could you check on my regulars starting with room 248 " I nod and walked out of the room .

I walked fast to room 248 knowing that Colby would be in there .

Once I got there I checked her over really quick and just as i thought nothing has changed  . 

Just as I was done Colby walked out of the bathroom " hey " I smile " hi I was just doing her morning check for rose she's running behind " he nod's " that's fine how is she " I sigh " the same as yesterday " he looks at his feet as he says " ok " i walk over to him and take his hand in mine " if you want to get your mind off of it on my lunch break we could have a nice lunch together".
