Lost Memories

Chapter 6

Colby's POV

" shes awake " they nod I look over at her and see that shes asleep " then why is she asleep " the doctor answers my question " when she woke up we couldn't get her to calm down so we gave her something to knock her out for an hour she should wake up in 20 minutes " I nod I walk over to her bed and sat down next to her bed .

The doctor followed me " um Colby there is something you need to know " I nod for him to continue " when she woke up we were talking to her trying to get her to calm down but it was like she couldn't hear us so I ran some test checked her ears and well she's deaf " I look at the doctor in shock  by what he is telling me " you mean she can't hear anything " he nod's I then continue "will she ever be able to hear again " he sigh's " I don't know she might i would say no but her waking up tells me she doesn't like to give up easy so only time will tell  and with the injury she had and being in a coma she might have memory loss I'll actually be shocked if she doesn't have memory loss  " I nod my head in  understanding .

The doctor and nurse Rose left and after they did i got a piece of paper and a pencil and sat back down my her bed waiting for her to wake up .

five minutes later I see those beautiful eyes open I take her hand in mine she turn's her head to look at me I set my piece of paper in front of her to read .

Do you know who I am ?

"no who are you "  I take her left hand and I put my left hand next to hers showing her our wedding bands " wait our we married " I nod " how long have we been married " I write down the answer quickly . 

Two years but we have been together for a total of four years   

" four years we've been together for four years and I don't even remember you " I nod as I hold her hand 

It will be ok we will get through this together   

" how we've been together for four years and I don't remember any of it and I can't hear anything I don't remember what your voice sounds like I can't believe it four years and I know nothing I don't know what our first date was like or our first kiss or when we met or when we fell in love " I take her hand and kiss it before I write a reply .

You fell in love with me once and you can do it again always and forever     

She smiles as she reads it before she nods her head.

Sarah's pov 

I just got off work and decided to pay Colby a visit before I left .

I got to room 248 and I look in to see her sitting up in her bed with him holding her hand smiling at each other .
