Sarah's pov
He nod's " ok that sounds nice " I smile and nod " ok I'll come and get you when it's my lunch break " he nods as i walk out .
5 hours later and it was my lunch break
I went to room 248 as i walk in Colby is on his knees beside her bed with her hand in his he doesn't notice me as so i listen as he talks to her " well I thought today was gonna be just like every other day but it's not because I have been invited to have lunch with this really cool girl named Sarah shes really sweet and funny and I might even like her but I want you to know that no one will ever replace you and I'll never love anyone the way I love you I will always love you as much as it pains me to say if your ready to go it's ok you can go I don't wanna put you through any more pain and the longer you hold on the more pain your gonna be in . You know they say if you love something set it free if it comes back it's yours and if it doesn't it never was so I'm setting you free your suffering baby and the only thing I can do to take that pain away is to let you go .
I love you Rebecca Lopez and you will always and forever be in my heart " by the time that he's done he has tears running down his face as he leans down and kisses her on the lips .
He looks up and sees me "what's wrong " he walks over to me and hugs me as he says " shes dieing " I hug him tight as I say " what do you mean " through the crying he says " shes slipping away from me her machine beeped and when the doctor came in to check on it he said that it's really bad and that she probably won't make it through the day he told me that shes gonna die before the day is over " I hold him while he cries .
Rose walks in and smiles before she says " I thought you two were going out for lunch " Colby let's go of me as he shakes his head " no I can't leave her if she goes I wanna be here I don't want her to be alone " rose smiles " Colby you and Sarah go enjoy lunch I'll stay with her the whole time that y'all are gone so that she won't be alone if she goes " he nods " ok we will be quick Sarah just let me go to the bathroom and then we will leave " I nod Rose then says " while you go to the bathroom I'll get my phone " he nods they both left and when they did I walked over to Rebecca and took her left hand in mine " I'm so sorry Rebecca to be the one to tell you this but he doesn't need you anymore " I say as I take off her wedding bands and put them on my left hand .
