2.Familiar Stranger

Zoya pov

As soon as I answered the phone,"zo..... where are you?" Priya asked. It was already 2 in midnight."priya.... calm down yaar. I am at office with few employees and even Aky is here." I said.

"Dont tire yourself too much and...." I cut her off saying,"priya..... stop being motherish...(a/n to be honest I'm one😉)
Anyway, I'm coming now" I said and hung up.

I walked out of my cabin and walked towards the staircase. I was scrolling down my instagram feeds when I saw shanaya's post saying,'my bro is back' why did she have to tag me? Ughh.I rolled my eyes at the mention of her brother.

I was looking through the stories when it was again shanaya's it was loading, it looked like a pic of a guy. I'm sure it's the devil himself. At the same time I remembered shalu in Hong Kong. She's mine and shanaya's close friend. We three were inseperable during college.

It must be around 6 there right now. I decided to call her. "Hey zo.... what makes you call me at this early hour?" She said as soon as she answered the call.

"Hey baby, did I wake you?" I asked. "Nah, I was already awake" she said and I said,"I had last minute works at office, so.... you know right" I said and after about 10 minutes of talk,"ok...gotta cook zo.... let's catch up later. Bye sweety..."she said and hung up. Anyway I was already down and walking to my car.

I unlocked the car and when I started the car, it didn't start. Why did it have to happen at this hour? Shit. I kicked the tire as if it will hurt it but actually my legs got a pain. I walked out of the gate and stood trying to call Akshay for help. But the idiot was not answering.

I heard sounds and turned to find three men obviously drunk. There was a club four buildings away my office. I didn't show them that I noticed them. I was just acting  as if I'm using the phone.

"Hey sweetheart, want company?" One asked and the other one asked,"what's your rate?" And another one said.,"dude, she's so hot".

I turned to them and crossing my arms over my chest I said,"you guys better run before my boyfriend comes" and one guy said,"guys, let's go" I raised my invisible collar in my mind and turned to go into the office. Better stay here today.

"Just spend an hour with us, and after making us happy, you can go to him" one guy said coming towards me and holding my wrist with other hand, his hand was trailing down my neck. I kneed him and he fall back in pain.

"Catch her, we shouldn't leave her just" one man said. I continued walking back while the other two took predatory steps. Suddenly I stopped when my back met with a wall. Wall? Wall on the pavement? How come....

I turned around to find a guy, his face not clear in the darkness. Those guys ran away seeing him. I turned back to him and said,"thank you so much  I dont know what could have happened " he said. "Let me drop you"  and I walked with him.

Throughout the ride we were silent except for me to direct him to the apartment where priya lives. I observed his face, he had small beard but yet his sharp jawline visible.  Everything that grabs my interest on one man. Wow.
Did I meet my knight in shining armour! Shut up zo.

I wanted to ask his name and start a conversation but I didn't. Something stopped me from it  his eyes..... it looks familiar. Very familiar but I really love this pair of eyes.
