the wind blew leisurely across her face, sending her messy strands of hair framing her face to flap in the wind. with a messy bun pooled at the top of her head and a pair of glittering gemmed earring dangling from her ear, she couldn't help but stumble around with a tight heel in her foot
her heart pumped with anxiety that mixed so inconveniently with nervousness, sending her breaths to escape her lips in tight heaves. the only thing she could clutch onto was her massive coat that drowned her body, almost entirely covering her blouse that matched with her pencil skirt.
"you look nice in that, johnny proved his abilities didnt he" winwin gave her a comforting smile while escorting her off the van, followed by the two other members that almost mirrored her emotions. hyejin nodded in reply, her tongue too tangled in nerves to even reply
"it'll fine be, everything will be over in a second" jungwoo comforted, walking them across the pedestrians crossing closer and closer to the where the courtroom was located.
"trust me, we've got solid evidence. the oppositions attorney has nothing against us" taeil pushed open the large glass doors for jungwoo and hyejin to enter
"that's the thing, they have a legit attorney and we have...you" she pursed her lips, blinking a mental apology at taeil
"i'm probably more qualified to be a lawyer than him. i've done multiple courtings in the 4 years i've been in NCT" he gave her a side eye "and i've won every single one of them"
"if gloating is how you win, i'm sure i can win just as much as you" she scoffed, entering the 'green room' prior to the actual court. the atmosphere of the green room didn't make any of them feel any less nervous, in fact, this particular room was acting as if it was preparing her for an extermination.
"hyejin" jungwoo tapped the table to get her attention. she whipped her head round a little too fast she could've snapped her neck
"i need you to just tell the truth; nothing beats the truth. if gang related topics are brought up, taeil will deal with them but if they are ever pushed into you, i want you to play dumb or deny any fact if you being associated with a gang. they might bring out evidence of you being part of a gang, but they can't put you in jail for any of it as you haven't committed murder nor hurt anyone for that case." jungwoo pushed her a thick booklet with endless typed words on it
"your going to study law next semester, count this as a practice. when they bring out evidence that you can't possibly deny, accept it. taeil will bring up the fact that they don't have a single reason to fine you as guilty." the two gathered their files "other than that, we should be all set"
