The Righteous Longbottom

"What took you lot so long?" I asked them as I pulled my hood off my head. "Neville Longbottom tried to be righteous." Ron said as we walked down the corridor towards a door that I hadn't seen before. "And how did you handle that?" I sniggered as an image of Neville in a night's armour came into my mind. "Hermione." Ron said. I didn't know if that put my mind at ease or not, but I quickly shook it off.

Hermione raised her wand before clearly saying "Alohomora." There was a satisfying click before we opened the door only to be met with a sleeping tree headed dog. "He is so cute." I said looking at the adorable creature. "Snape's already been here. He's put a spell on the harp." He said causing me to notice the melody of the harp. We moved closer to the creature only for its warm breath to hit us in the face.

"Uh. It's got horrible breath!" Ron exclaimed. "It's a dog, what did you expect minty fresh?" I asked him sarcastically. He just glared at me. "We have to move it's paw." Harry said catching our attention. "What?!" Me and Ron asked in unison. " Come on!" He said before we all moved towards the paw. "Okay. Push!" He said causing us all to push with as much as our tiny bodies could. We finally moved it and Harry opened up the door. "I'll go first. Don't follow until I give you a sign. If something bad happens, get yourselves out...Does it seem a bit...quiet?" He said making me notice that the harp had stopped playing.

Hermione, I thought it had turned into a bass guitar and had started playing we will rock you." I said before looking over to Ron to see some sort of slime drip right down his shoulder. I gagged before looking up only to see three heads bearing their sharp teeth at me. "Fuck this." I said before falling through the trap door the other three following right behind me.

I screamed as I fell down before we landed and some sort of squishy black rope thing. "Whoa. Lucky this plant-thing is here, really." He said but he spoke to soon. The pant suddenly started to rope around us tying down our limbs. "What in the name of hell is this!" I shouted as I tried to break out of the weird plant. "Stop moving, all of you. This is Devil's Snare. You have to relax. If you don't, it will only kill you faster." Hermione said to us. I looked over to her to see that she wasn't moving at all and she was just laid there calmly.

"Kill us faster?! Oh, now I can relax!" Ron said before starting to struggle more. Hermione just gave him a sarcastic smile before she fell through the devil's snare. "Hermione!" We shouted. "Now what are we going to do." Ron groaned. I chose to trust Hermione's judgement and started to relax. I suddenly slipped through the vines causing the boys to shout my name just as loud as we shouted Hermione's.

"Just relax!" Hermione shouted up towards them. "Mia! Hermione! Where are you!" Harry shouted. They were still struggling. "Just do what she says you dinguses!" I shouted up to them. A couple of seconds went by before Harry slipped trough the plant onto the floor. "Harry!" Ron shouted as Hermione helped him up. "He isn't relaxing, is he?" Hermione asked as Ron shouted for help above us.

"Apparently not." Harry said sassily. "We've got to do something." Hermione said as she started to pace. "What." Harry said as he looked up worry spread over his face. "Uh! I remember reading something in Herbology. Um Devil's Snare, Devil's Scare, it's deadly fun...but will sulk in the sun! That's it! Devil's Snare hates sunlight!" Hermione said in realisation. I quickly wiped out my wand and pointed it up towards where Ron was before shouting "Lumus Solem!", a beam of light shout out of my wand causing the snare to recoil back letting Ron fall to the floor.

"Ron are you ok?" Harry asked as I put my wand back into my boot, which had become its new practical place. "Yeah." He said before he started to stand up. "Whew. Lucky, we didn't panic!" He said turning his attention to us only to see our stone-cold expressions. "Lucky Hermione pays attention in Herbology and Mia pays attention in charms." Harry said as I started to hear a noise.
