We were all sat in the great hall eating our lunch when we heard a bang from the Gryffindor table. I looked over to see Seamus Finnigan his face covered in a look of shock and soot. The whole hall burst out into laughter before we heard the hoot of Owls. I gazed up at the ceiling to see owls pouring in from the roof its was a mix of creams and browns so you could distinctly see Hades pitch black feathers flying towards me.
"Hiya boy." I said feeding him a bit of my food. He didn't have any post for me because there was no one to write to me, but he liked to join in with the rest of the owls. Draco's owl came diving towards up as large parcel between his talons. "Mum has sent me my sweets." He said happily as he tore away the paper. He lifted the box to show about ten bags of sweets, all different colours and flavours.
He looked happily over to me to realised no one had sent me anything. "Here." He said handing me one of the bright paper bags. "Oh no, Draco you don't have to." I said pushing away his hand. "I insist." He said taking my hand and putting the bag of sweets into them. I blushed slightly before thanking him and putting them into my bag.
Finally, it was time for our flying lesson, and I was stood with Draco, Blaise, and Theo across from Harry, Ron and Hermione. "Good afternoon, class." Madame Hooch said as she walked past us. "Good afternoon, Madam Hooch." We repeated in unison. "Good afternoon, Amanda, good afternoon. Welcome to your first flying lesson. Well, what are you waiting for? Everyone step up to the left side of their broomstick. Come on now, hurry up. Stick your right hand over the broom and say, Up!" She instructed us.
I looked down at my broom before shouting "Up!" causing it to shoot up into my hand shocking me at first. Draco and Harry did it after me causing their brooms to fly up into theirs as well. Hermione kept commanding her's, but it just moved side to side frustration her greatly. I looked over to Ron who was getting angry with his as well. "UP!!!" He shouted. His broom quickly flew up hitting him smack bang in the middle of his head.
I burst out into laughter along with the rest of the kids around him but the moment her saw me laughing he quickly glared at me making me roll my eyes. Just because I was put into Slytherin that apparently changes the person I was on the train does it.
"Now, once you've got hold of your broom, I want you to mount it. And grip it tight, you don't want to be sliding off the end. When I blow my whistle, I want each of you to kick off from the ground, hard. Keep your broom steady, hover for a moment, and then lean forward slightly and touch back down. On my whistle...3...2..." He blew her whistle when a boy named Neville immediately lifted off the ground.
"Mr. Longbottom." Hooch said as Neville rose into the air, people shouting at him to come down. "M-M-Mr. Longbottom Mr. Longbottom! Come back down this instant!" Hooch said as Neville screamed for help. "Miss he clearly isn't in control of his broom." I told her as Neville zoomed across the sky. "Don't give me attitude Gaunt." She said before Neville came flying past our heads.
The broom flew past a statue causing Neville's robe to get hooked onto it. It started to rip, and Neville dropped one last time before being dropped on the floor. We all rushed over, Hooch in front of us all. Neville hissed as she helped him up supporting his arm.
"Oh, oh, oh, oh dear. It's a broken wrist. Tch, tch, tch. Good boy come on now, up you get." She said as I watched Draco pick something up from where Neville had fallen. "Everyone's to keep their feet firmly on the ground while I take Mr. Longbottom to the hospital wing. Understand? If I see a single broom in the air, the one riding it will find themselves out of Hogwarts before they can say, Quidditch." She said before entering back into the building.
"Did you see his face? Maybe if the fat lump had given this a squeeze, he'd have remembered to fall on his fat ass." Draco laughed as he held up Neville's Remembrall. "Give it here, Malfoy." Harry demanded walking up to him. Draco just sneered down at him. "No. I think I'll leave it somewhere for Longbottom to find. How 'bout up on the roof?" Draco said hopping onto his broom and flying up into the sky.
"Draco don't be a dick!" I shouted up to him, he just ignored me. "What's the matter, Potter? Bit beyond your reach?" Draco shouted down to Harry; I just rolled my eyes. Harry mounted his broom glaring up at Draco, but Hermione quickly stepped in front of him. "Harry, no! You heard what Madam Hooch said! Besides, you don't even know how to fly." She said sensibly but Harry just ignored her and sped off up to Draco. "What an idiot." She said looking up at the two
The class just watched the two squabble before Draco launched the Remembrall across the field. Harry quickly zoomed after it, catching it before it crashed into a window. The class cheered for him as he came back down the ball clasped in his hand. I looked behind us to spot McGonagall walking towards us. "He is in trouble." I said to Hermione tapping her on the shoulder, "Oh no." She gasped.
"Harry Potter? Follow me." McGonagall said catching the classes attention. Harry passed his broom to someone before following her back into the building as Draco and the others laugh. "Come on Mia you have to admit that was funny." Draco said leaning on my shoulder as I crossed my arms and angry expression on my face.
"I think it was irresponsible and petty and in no way hilarious. Now if you don't mind, I have more important things to do then boost your ego." I said. The class 'Oooooed' as I picked up my bag and walked away to my next class.
