8 - Black & White

i am blind to the array of colors,
that flit across my eyes every day,
my life is devoid of emotion,
it's the same black and white,
things I see every day.

monotonous and spiritless,
reality can be cruel,
thwarting us,
i am unable to see these colors in any way,

film noir,
hanging on to a cassette rope,
vinyl scratches,
we come to a halt.

whirring movie tapes,
motion on the screen,
one frame falls off,
replaced with something obscene.

a gray movie,
possesses no colour,
one frame with hue,
a sudden flash of life.

it starts then stops and starts again,
an endless loop of pale tinges,
i am becoming evanescent
in this world of black and white rays.
