Jai Brooks

This is the first time you got sick while you dated Jai. You haven’t been going on for very long, maybe 6 months or something. But you rarely get sick so it’s fine. Though, your boyfriend really doesn’t know how to handle a sick person. He is all nervous, trying to stay calm but not succeeding, he is a mess. You only have a fever and a kind of runny nose, but it’s not something serious. When he heard from your mom that you wouldn’t be going out or to school, Jai had been at your doorstep a minute after. He practically ran into your room, smashing the door open and then sat down next to your bed. He doesn’t like bacteria that much and would prefer to stay healthy, another tour is coming you know, so he didn’t touch you to begin with. But then he touched you too much. Not in a perverted way, but he just kind of shoved his palm several times against your fore head or cheek. He would go out from your room, and then come back with a towel, place it on your head and then go and make some chicken soup. He answered your text from your friends and even painted your nails for you. You could tell that he wasn’t used to people being sick. Or nail polish, either. But however, right now, he is sitting next to you. He made you 3 bowls of chicken soup, and because you didn’t want to make him worry more about you (you thanked no to a sandwich and he directly thought that you was feeling worse), you ate all of them. Now, you feel that you will puke if you ever see a chicken nugget ever again. But you can’t blame him. It’s kind of cute how he is flipping your pillows, never sitting down and always walking back and forth, talking to himself. “Jai,” you say and notice that your voice is a little raspy. He looked at you rapidly like a dog that’d just been called. “Yes? Are you dizzy? How are you feeling? How many fingers am I holding up?” he says and walks quickly towards your bed to take your hands in his right one. With his left one, he is holding up 2 fingers. What a idiot, you think and smile a little. “I have a cold, you know, I’m not dying,” Jai pulls down his hand and sits down on the bed next to you. “Are you feeling better?” he asks. You nod, really don’t feeling a difference, but just wanting to make him happy. “But,” you say and grab your chin, pretending to be thinking. “I think I have the solution of my cold”. Jai looks at you with big, bright, eyes. “What…?” he whispers, like it’s a big secret that only his ears can hear. You giggle a little. “A kiss,” you say and look curiously at him. He raises his eyebrows. “Seriously? Are you sure that it’ll make you healthy again?”. You nod. As you do, he leans forward, slowly, until your lips meet in a short, sweet kiss. “Better?” he asks. You nod. “Much better,” you smile and hope that you didn’t taste too much chicken.
Jai went home to eat dinner around six o’clock or earlier. Because of exhaustion you fell asleep right after he’d left, but because of some weird reason you woke up 2 AM. Oh, that’s right, your phone that Jai put on charging was vibrating. You reach for it and see a Blocked number. Only Jai has a blocked number that you know. “Hello…?” you murmur and rub your eyes that dazzled from the light screen. “(Y/N) you lil’ shit!” you hear Jai groan. You wrinkle your eyebrows. “What about it?” “Are you fine now?” he asks. You poke your fore head. Yeah, you’re not burning up anymore. And your voice is back to normal and your nose is just a little runny. “Yes, I am!” you say, happily. “Good,” you hear Jai answer, not really sounding happy at all. “But I’m quite positive that your cold moved to my system”. As he says that, you realise that he is sounding a little different.  Oh no, poor baby. “Oh my god, Jai I’m so sorry!” you say but can’t really do anything about the smile on your lips. You can almost see Jai sitting there, all terrified. “Can you come over and kiss me tomorrow?” he asks, sounding like a confused puppy. “Sure I will,” you answer, still with a small smile on your lips.
