Mia's POV

James and I shifted back to our wolves. "Do you need to head back to your pack right away?" I asked, hoping he could stay a little while. He mind linked with his pack. After a couple of seconds, he told me he could stay. We walked back to my pack, and I went around a tree to shift. Some of my pack members gave them clothes to borrow.

Once everyone was shifted back to humans, I took James's hand and decided to make an announcement. "Diamond Heart pack, I would like to introduce my mate James, Alpha of Eclipse Pack formally." Everyone cheered, and I saw my dad walk towards us. I was still confused by how much he hid from me about my mom. I understood some of it, but I could tell I didn't have all the pieces. 'I will tell you later.' I expected that message from my dad, but it was from James. I held back my surprise as he shook my dad's hand.

"I remember when you were just a tiny brat." My dad joked with him. "Oh, I still am." He joked back, wrapping his arm around my waist. I leaned into him, resting my head on his chest.
"I want to introduce you to some of my pack," I told him and started to introduce him.

"This is my aunt Cheryl and my cousin Reba." He let go of my hand to squat down to Reba's level. "Hi, Reba." He said and shook her hand. She looked up at me and smiled. I grabbed her and put her on my hip with her head rest on my shoulder. I was so glad she was safe.

I grabbed James's waist and introduced him to the council. Until my best friend popped out from the crowd and ran to me. "Oh, Mia, I was worried about you," Isabella told me as she hugged me. In my ear, she whispered how cute Janes was, and I could see his lips twitch. He heard it.

"Isabella, this is James. Isabella is my best friend besides Ben." Ben popped of nowhere as if we summoned him. I thanked him for holding down the fort, and he bowed his head slightly. I didn't deserve a Beta like him; he was the best.

"Not that I don't want to meet your family and friends, but can we talk in private?" He asked me in a quiet whisper so no one would pick up on it. His quiet voice tickled my ear, and I shivered. I nodded and gave Reba back to her mom. Ben gave me a look and nodded; he was going to make sure everything was okay.

I led James back to my office, and he relaxed, sitting on my desk. I was surprised the desk didn't buckle under all of his toned weight. He was seriously fit, especially for an alpha. I would love for him to break me in half. As if he could read my mind, he arched his eyebrow. I knew he could just smell my growing need for him.

"Do you want to mark me next?" I asked him with my own raised eyebrow. I pushed back my hair, giving him access to my neck. He looked at me like I was his next meal, and I shivered. James put his arms around my waist and pulled me close to him. I was finally on eye level with him as he pulled me in for a kiss. I melted against him, unsure of if I could stay standing up.

His lips turned more aggressive during the kiss; I loved the passion behind the movements. I opened my mouth for his tongue as he shoved it down my throat. He tasted of sweet tea; I'm guessing he had some before he left his pack. James broke apart from my lips to plant kisses down my neck. I arched my back into him as he sucked my neck. Why was he giving me hickeys instead of a mark?

When he hit my spot, I moaned and proceeded to grind myself against him. I gasped at the feel of him against me as he growled. He was going to have to take me right here on the desk. But instead of marking me or moving past first base, he leaned his forehead against mine.

Well, if he was going to stop, I was going to push it. I started to pull down his sweatpants to release him, but he grabbed my wrists. I looked at him surprised but could tell he was fighting himself. "What's wrong? Scared once you have me, you'll be addicted." I teased, kissing his jawline. I trailed my kisses to right next to the ear and started to whisper what I wanted him to do to me and how much I wanted him.
