19. Mia

Mia's POV

I woke up feeling extremely warm. James was the big spoon, engulfing me in his warmth. I could feel him beginning to stir and rolled over to look at him. James smiled before opening his eyes, and my stomach did a flip.

"You're beautiful." He told me in his morning voice. I've only heard it once on the phone, but in person, it was hotter. "Last night was amazing, want a repeat?" I asked him, and he laughed. "Am I that good? You can't get enough?"
"Duh."

It took him a minute to get protection, but then it was on. He worshiped my body that morning. After we finished, I decided I wanted a shower. I slowly tried to get up, but James keeps pulling me back into bed. "I have to pee, James," I told him, and he groaned as he let me go. "But you can join me in the shower," I told him, and he was up.

After our shower, we finally got dressed. I made him some breakfast as we talked. "What's your favorite Disney movie?" He asked me. "Tangled, Flynn Rider is too cute for an animated movie." He growled, and I laughed.

"I've always liked the classic the Lion King." He told me. We continued on with our game until Ben mind linked me. 'Are you awake?'
'Yes, why?'
'The council wants to meet with you.'
'Okay, I'll be down there.'

James looked at me in concern, and I told him we both had to go to the council today. He seemed nervous, and I tried to make him feel better by holding his hand. We made it down to the council, and they didn't look surprised to see James.

"Morning Alpha Mia, we wanted to know if you have made any decision yet?"
"Yes, we have, Alpha James, has officially left his pack to become our Luna," I told them, and they seemed thrilled with this idea.
"Good, we need a strong luna like him. Now we don't want to impose on you any longer." They excused us, and we went down to my office. Ben was there, and James gave him a handshake.

"So, what's on the agenda for today?" Ben asked as James went to leave, but I grabbed him before he could. "Just continue on with the training program," I told him, and he nodded.

"Did you want to take the day off to grab the rest of James's stuff?" Ben asked me.
"I don't want to leave the pack again so soon," I said, and Ben laughed. "We will be fine for a couple of hours, I promise."

"Okay, but tell me if anything goes wrong." I hated leaving the pack after leaving so many times. The only thing that made me feel better was James was going to stay here. He was the main reason I would leave. Before we left, Isabella and I said our goodbyes as she left again. She promised to FaceTime me every day.

James and I then got into his truck for the day. We played our question game again to get to know each other. I stumbled a little bit when he asked if I wanted to have kids. "Maybe when I'm older." He seemed a little surprised and unhappy with my answer.

"Why not now? Most mates have kids within the first year." I couldn't help but laugh.
"When did I ever stick to the status quo? And also, I don't want to share it with you right now. Also, I love my body right now, and I'm not giving that up."

"Okay, I respect that." He told me and dropped it. I understand why he wanted kids so quickly when you meet your mate, and you want that future with them. You want the marriage, house, and kids. I was ready to wait on those, and he was ready to jump in.

We made it to his house, and I was surprised his mom and sister immediately greeted us. His mother wrapped me into a hug, which surprised me. "I am so happy for both of you." She told me.

"I'm glad that my idiot brother finally used his brain," Zoey said, and he glared at her. "James has proven himself. He took me on a date last night." I told them, and his mother smiled.
