hermione is petrified. as if this couldn't get any worse. one the smartest people who can figure this out is now petrified.

harry and ron have continued on with trying to solve this, asking both corbyn and tate for help whenever needed.

nothing's felt the same since zach was attacked. without his witty little comments, kind voice and sweet charm, the group feels lost. each one of them loved zach and now that he's petrified in the hospital, it was hard for them.

gabriela even started reading one of zach's books, hoping it would make herself feel better.

the group sat in study hall, which seemed pointless considering everything that has been happening. but nevertheless, they were there, sitting silently.

as quiet as zach tended to be, he was the light of the group. without him sitting here, it felt plain, empty.

jonah couldn't hear zach scold him for calling somebody names. gabriela couldn't tease him for the books he reads.

christina couldn't tell her jokes to him, or get any jokes back. corbyn couldn't bounce his knowledge of space off of him. tate couldn't teasingly fix up his class notes.

daniel couldn't laugh alongside him as they listened to kay defend professor lockhart once again. kay couldn't shoot banter back and forth with zach, listening to his sarcastic and witty comments.

the friend group felt so empty without him; and it didn't make it better that draco and jack have decided to continously torment them about the situation.

"he had it coming. him and his filthy muggle parents."

"mudbloods don't belong here, they're a disgrace."

"herron should have been killed, not petrified."

"the little fairy deserved way worse."

that one got their blood boiling the most. draco and jack calling him a fairy, it made daniel want to pummel them into the ground.

but jonah and corbyn had to once again hold him back, telling him that their friend wouldn't want him to do it.

zach was the embodiment of kindness and loyalty. he enjoyed making friends and he always stuck by them, no matter what was said about the person.

he was the epitome of a hufflepuff with few ravenclaw like traits. he's kind and loyal, he's amazing with any type of creature. during herbology, zach was the first of the class to re-pot the mandrake.

he was the first to succeed in each task given, even better than the smartest ravenclaws in the class. he was talented when it came to animals and nature.

zach puts his friends first, a trait that may not always be the best to have. but one his friends truly admire of him.

zach puts their feelings above his, he values them to no end. the boy was such a giver and no one ever seemed to appreciate that, so his friends swore they would give him all they could to make him feel loved like he does to others.

he's dependable, you need him and he's there. zach is dedicated and patient. he's passionate about that which he loves.

something that gives him a ravenclaw edge to his hufflepuff manner is his witt. his clever humor and comments never cease to pull a chuckle from his friends. his sweetness is sometimes over taken by his rare snarky attitude.

zach was a hufflepuff through and through. the very definition of what the house stands for.
