"zach, we're sorry about yesterday. we didn't mean to upset you." corbyn spoke on behalf of the group of friends.

"it's fine, i'm sorry for snapping at you guys." the hufflepuff smiled gently. "actually, i made a new friend after i left. she's super sweet, think she could join us sometimes?"

he asked hopefully. he liked luna, wanted her around more. the rest of the group looked between each other smiling, "as long as you've forgiven us we're okay with anything." kay answered happily.

"great! i uh... i was actually going to meet her, i'll see you guys in a bit?" zach barely waited for them to respond before rushing off toward the courtyard.

the other seven were curious, so they followed after him, careful not to upset him.

they saw him meet up with a blonde girl wearing ravenclaw robes. "he's replaced his blonde ravenclaw friend." corbyn fake cried. "isn't that luna lovegood?"

"oh yeah! it is" tate agreed with christina, "she's... interesting, that's for sure." the hufflepuff said.

"he's replaced me." corbyn continued to cry fakely, "oh shove it besson." gabriela gently pushed him in a teasing manner.

across the courtyard, zach and luna sat talking about books and other random things. "do you think i could borrow a book once you're done reading it?" she asked him.

"oh of course! i'd love for you to read some of these stories, they're amazing! mr. wilson says they're the best he's ever read."

"hey luna? how come i don't see you around the school? you know, with any friends or anything." zach wondered.

"i tend to go places by myself, stay quiet. i find small places people don't usually go and hang out there."

"why?" luna was such a lovely girl, why wouldn't she be surrounded by people who want to be her friend?

"some students like to think i am weird and different, so most times i just do my own thing." she told him.

zach was shocked, the two were a lot more alike than he initially thought. "people call me loony lovegood, think it's funny." she spoke with a small smile. "that's rude! i cannot believe that." zach sighed. "oh it's all in good fun," she smiled.

"well you've got me, i'll never call you that." he smiled to her. "that is much appreciated zach," luna smiled back.
