september 3rd. finally. today was the day they leave for hogwarts. daniel and jack dashed through the train station, more eager than ever to finally be on their way.

their families following behind them. sydnie, tyler, and christian laughing at their younger siblings. "mum.. are you worried?" sydnie asked her mother quietly.

they were the only two who knew the truth. sydnie and jack's father is a slytherin, and even worse, a death eater.

jack doesn't know this. he doesn't even know darrin is not his real father. kristin left with him and sydnie a few months after he was born, getting away from the death eater before it was too late for them.

but kristin and sydnie have been suspicious and worried for jack throughout his growing up. he seemed so much like his father. they were worried he'd end up a slytherin and move to the dark side just like their father did.

jonah stayed next to zebulon as they made their way through the train station, toward the platform they needed.

jonah was bouncing with excitement, he had to stop himself from skipping. this day was something he's been waiting for for years. he could barely believe it was finally here.

it was finally time for him to begin at hogwarts. "you know, most first years are nervous.. you're way too happy and excited." zebulon chuckled at his younger brother.

"what can i say? i've wanted this day to come for so long, i can't wait any longer." jonah beamed.

corbyn and his family pushed their way through the small crowds of people at king's cross, attempting to get to where they needed to be.

corbyn was beyond excited yet terrified. he's the oldest of his family, he's the first of him and his siblings to go to hogwarts.

he was scoping it out for them, experiencing it first, paving the way for them.

he couldn't wait, but he was nervous. what if he didn't have a good experience? what would he tell them? you're gonna love it but i hated it so who knows! no no no he had to have a good experience, for them.

not only for him, but for his siblings. their experiences have to be perfect so his had to be good for them to be excited to go.

zach made his way through the station next to his mother. he was terrified. he knew no one and had no idea of what he was getting into.

what if people didn't like him? what if they thought he was weird? well that's nothing new for him.

the kids at his old school thought he was weird. no one wanted to be his friend.

what if that was the same case here? what if no one wanted to be zach's friend? what if he's going to be alone for his whole time at school?

as if he wasn't already nervous and upset, his father decided he wasn't going to come send him off. it was just his mom and siblings.

the ticket he received said platform 9¾ but that's not a real thing, he didn't understand.

he and his mom already went to diagon alley for his school supplies which was weird and amazing for zach.

the eleven year old has never seen anything like he saw in the alley. it was incredible.

but how was he supposed to get on to a platform that doesn't exist?

he kept walking through the station when he saw people running through the wall between platforms in nine and ten.

yeah, that's right. through. not by it, not around it. through it.

the young boy was in amazement at what he saw. deciding to ask them as they clearly knew what they were doing.

"excuse me?" he tapped the lady's shoulder, as she turned around she smiled brightly. "yes dear?"

"uhm... c-could you tell me how- how to do that?" he asked her, pointing at the wall people were running through.

"oh of course dear! this is your first time isn't it?" she spoke sweetly, comforting the distressed zach.

"it's daniel's first time too, but he already went through to the platform." she chuckled. "okay, all you have to do, is run straight ahead at the wall. that's it."

"o-okay." he sucked in a deep breath. terrified. "here.. how about we go together okay?"

"uhm.. what about my family. they-they aren't.. uhm..."

"they're muggles?" zach wasn't sure if that was it, but he just went with it. "how about you say goodbye to them and we will go on to the platform."

zach replies with an okay before going back to his family, wishing them a goodbye.

"i'll see you soon okay ryan?" zach smiled, hugging his little brother. he placed a kiss to his baby sister's forehead before hugging his mother goodbye.

he returned to the kind lady and they started toward the platform. "alright sweetie, come this way. it's okay, you'll see them soon."

the lady helped him on the train and he began searching the cabins for an open place.

he found one with two boys and one girl, so he kindly and nervously asked to sit.

he recognized the boys as two of the people he saw running into the wall, so he was guessing they were with the kind lady who helped him.

"of course, come in!" the brunette boy smiled, "i'm daniel."

"and this is jack." he pointed to the boy next to him. "and i'm gabriela." zach nodded with all their names.

"uh.. i-i'm zach." the girl smiled, "nice to meet you! i believe we will be great friends!"

zach felt his heart jump. did she say friends? but... no one ever wanted to be his friend.

"hi, do you guys mind?" a blonde boy gestured to the empty seat, "not at all!" gabriela said to him.

"i'm corbyn." he said, "i'm gabriela and this is daniel, jack, and zach."
